Balenciaga Tank Platform Heel: Love It or Hate It?

I think this may be the ultimate love it or hate it. We all know by now that intergalactic planetary was one of the biggest trends on the Spring runways. Cruel and unusual shoes were actually in several shows this season. I can not get over the insanity of this Balenciaga Tank Platform Heel. I don't know what the price of these dynamos are, they have yet to be released, so why don't you all take a wild guess. Some of you may be wondering: who the hell would buy this and who can walk in this? It is a little known fact that extreme heels like this are just for show and often brands reduce platforms from 1.5 to 2 centimeters from the ones in the shows. Believe it or not, this does make a difference.

So onto the good stuff: love this lethal shoe or hate it?

I don't know if you would really want to go out with a man who thinks these awful, cruel shoes are sexy. Be very afraid.

What's with the brass bike chain on the bottom? Hahaha! It's very avant-garde, for that they take the cake. Practicality, not so much.

I am sure if someone presented these in design school they would be burned alive.

I think I saw these in the Harpar's Bazaar with Drew on the cover. They're...interesting.
    Biker not-so-chic and frighteningly high!

I love the irony behind them- the idea that women would wear something so ugly and painful if told it was beautiful.
But of course I would never wear them, so in that way I hate them.
    Hence my undecided vote.

UMMMM...no thanks---they look like you could wear them as some sort of armor, they also look like a real tank--do they roll like a real tank?

I don't mind the height. Platforms were in fashion here a few years ago and I can walk in them. But I don't like the combination of the Birkenstock-ish cork sole and tacked-on metal part. That just looks clunky and awkward to me.

i'm actually kinda diggin' on these. they're a little crazy, you'd have to wear them with something simple (and have a high pain tolerance), but i think that they could def. be pulled off.

    pain is beauty! (okay, sometimes)

Yeah I'm not sure about these. I kind of hate the picture but I'd have to seem them live and try them on before I made my final decesion. I'm all for high heels but geez those look painful.

They look like something out of a James Bond movie, you know , like some sort of blade can pop out from the tip or side of the shoe, lol. Who needs to know self-defense wearing those? So I guess they would be useful for something. My feet hurt thinking of walking even 20 ft. in them.

I hate it as a shoe. I don't see how I would wear that if not just for a magazine layout. However, taken out of context I feel the shoe itself is remarkable - it's like a sculpture I cooould see in a museum.

I was loving it until I scrolled right down to the bottom...what is that on the sole?

I would love them if not for the thing underneath them.
    It ruins everything.

Wow! These look like they are meant to kick men to death or at least castrate them. That for me makes them sexy as hell in a weird and edgy way. The more dangerous (to others!) that women's high-heeled shoes look, the better; e.g. Condie's Kinky Dominatrix Boots. Women in lethal shoes rule!
