Nicole Kidman's icicle-like layered necklace definitely takes the cake for the most eye-catching bling at the Oscars. Her black Balenciaga dress, on the other hand, falls flat for me. Do you agree?

Her dress is NOT L'Wren Scott, the necklace is. Her dress is Balenciaga and it's absolutely stunning. So is the necklace. The only thing I don't like is that they made the hem too high. It should be lower. I noticed this on Cate Blanchett's dress too.

I didn't see her until she was on stage, I wasn't sure about the necklace but the more I looked at her, I decided she looked stunning! She looked so much more beautiful on the t.v. than in these pictures. She looked more fresh and natural, not so stiff and her skin was pretty and the dress and the necklace were wow! If I had to decide just with looking at the pictures I don't think I would like it but after seeing her on t.v. I think the whole look is beautiful!

And I forgot to add that I HOPE she stops freezing her forhead stiff with that botox when she's pregnant. I think it's ruined her acting career because she can't show any emotion. All her new movies are completely flat since she started using that stuff. The hell is that she doesn't even need it she's absolutely beautiful and should age naturally.

I hardly ever like anything she wears, she always chooses the same colors: black, white or ivory/cream, and red. And i actually think all those colors make her look plain.

well, with a necklace like this, you'd want a simple backdrop. however, there's just too much of the necklace. the dress itself is pretty in a simple way.

LOVE IT! The dress is a flattering shape and a good landscape for the necklace -- which I read somewhere else has 1400 carats of diamonds,whew!
