I have always been drawn to the weave. I think it's my lifelong adoration for Bottega Veneta (see amazing Spring wedge at left) and its luxurious woven leathers. Because Bottega has been around for so long, many copy cats have chimed in on the earthy motif. On shoes, this style is ideal — it's interesting, cool and slightly '70s — right up my alley.

Very cute. But question: what is the point of the platform wedges that I'm always seeing that have the slight heel silhouette? Like the Banana Republic wedges above. I hate that so much! Also, what is the name for that style of wedge? Anyone know?

I love the banana ones (I have them in white, but I love the green!) I'm 5'3, so with these shoes I'm almost the height of a normal person. You are lucky to be so tall, cishcash!

I'm not sure how I feel about these, but I do love a wedge heel. Kate Spade had some kind of cute ones also, but I'm not sure that I would buy them.

I love the siegerson morrison flats (I'm a flats girl) and the Calvin Klein wedges. I also like the Banana Republic ones and I adore the Bottega Veneta ones pictured.
