Faboo Engagement Rings

In celebration of the official wedding season and the launch of our sister site, IDoSugar, I decided to delve, fingers first, into faboo engagement rings. Engagement rings come in all styles and (I promise) there's something out there that'll tickle your fancy. I'm an unconventional gal and would prefer something a bit more untraditional. After all, I'll be wearing the ring for the rest of my life and would want it to reflect my Fab style and taste. Let that be your mantra when you're deciding on one, too!

    So many GORGEOUS choices!

I'm personally a round solitaire on white gold or platinum kind of girl. That's what mine is. Simple and stunning.

I'm not a big fan of any of those rings. I prefer something simpler and smaller.

My ring is from Costco! I highly recommend it as they have great quality jewelry at decent prices. Everyone thinks I have the Tiffany legacy ring! It represents us, the Costco Couple, well. Smiling

I also like the thought of having a non-diamond ring. I would love to have an aquamarine gemstone as the center stone. Plus, they're more affordable!

I want a conflict-free diamond. Granted they're a little bit more expensive, but i'd feel a whole lot better:) Plus, they're just as beautiful!

oh wow, that third one is really beautiful!

I might send some of these along to a friend who recently got engaged — her fiance proposed with a diamond that was in his family, and they're designing the rest of the ring together. sweet, right? I could see her liking the double vines.

At first, I thought I didn't want a traditional ring, but my fiance ended up getting me one. I absolutely love it. It's a 2.5 carat round cut diamond with 4 side stones on each side set in white gold. It's very traditional, but it's beautiful.

Fab, that's exactly what I thought when my fiance and I went shopping for engagement rings, and luckily, I got a twin set that everyone envies me for!

My fiance designed my ring and got it made. I knew nothing about it and absolutely adore it. It's what I'd consider a more traditional ring, single solitare set in 6 claws in white gold, but in so many ways it really is me and think that it is stunning - he did so well without my help and the fact that he designed it means the world to me.
Some of these rings are absouletly stunning!!

Diamonds are boring. Everyone has them.

I want a colorful engagement ring! I'd love a green tourmaline, an emerald, or a garnet. Anything unique.

I love engagement rings. Ideally, mine would be a pink, heart-shaped diamond surrounded by pave white diamonds -- none of which are less then VVS1 & G in clarity and color.

the tacori is nice but i also like the idea of an antique. years ago when i was in new orleans we were in the french corner and entered an antique shop that had gorgeous rings.

i also like split shank rings mimi so had a very nice one a year or so ago ...

Mine is the second from the left (the classic Tiffany six-prong). I told my boyfriend two years before we got engaged that I wanted it when the time came (we'd been dating for 3 years at the time), and now we've been married for three years! And I love it every day.

Checking antique stores and estate sales are great ways to find beautiful and unique rings (sometimes less expensive). I wish I had thought of it before I got my solitaire. I love my ring but sometimes I wish I had something that no one else really has.

(Please let my future husband accidentally stumble across this website while trying to order the latest Enterprise magazine)

5ct. princess cut, diamond ring, platinum setting and mini pearls on the band. If not mini pearls, then tiny diamonds. Smiling

5 carats??? I'd be happy with a center stone that was almost 1 ct! Laughing out loud

I'd love an Asscher cut, set in platinum, with a trapezoid-cut diamond on each side. Like this but with a more narrow, graceful band and smaller center stone:

I have seen just such a ring at Costco, actually, and totally drooled over it! It was gooorgeous.

I'd also be happy with a beautiful sapphire as the center stone rather than a diamond. That's the engagement style in Italy!

I have a Chanel Cometes diamond ring for my engagement ring. Totally non-traditional, but so much more "me" than a traditional ring. I'd recommend looking for rings that fit the personality of the woman who will wear it forever, not just traditional engagement rings. Of course, that's just what worked for us.

My antique ring was so expensive. I am still wondering why. But it's a conflict-free diamond at least!

almost famous...That diamond would be HUGE! You are going to get arthritis in your left hand. hehe

I have an exspensive taste bud...at times.
Not so much to get broke though!
I've thought about a ruby instead of a diamond before, but then decided against it!

@ Claire Underwear, I love EVERYTHING about wedding season...

Being of the practical mindset (and knowing that my SO didn't want to spend $$$ on the ring), I always thought that I would get something very simple. That is, until I went to see a friend of mine...who happens to be a jeweler. Then I felt guilty for being seduced by the BLING! But my guy came thru and bought me a LOVELY ring - an massive emerald cut diamond on a simple white gold setting. I've only had it for a few weeks now and I still gawk at it in disbelief...I'm still trying to get used to it.

Oooh diamonds. My dream ring is a solid wide white gold band, with a cushion cut solitaire. The cushion cut is a lot harder to find, but I think it's gorgeous and so classic. Hopefully my boyfriend has been paying attention to my hints Eye-wink
