Meryl? Seriously? You were nominated for an Oscar for playing one of the most fashionable women in all of film history and this is what you decide to wear? This entire ensemble is horrible from the therapist beads to the greasy stringy hair. Just bad, bad, bad. What do you think?

All of it is just AWFUL. The dress OF COURSE, the hair the face, ALL OF IT!

I loved what she had to say about being a size 14. That was very honest and relatable. But the dress accentuated the negatives and the jewelry was rather gaudy. From what I have seen over the years, she seems to be an awesome person and soooo talented and beautiful, but I do not think that outfit did justice to her at all. But if she liked it, that is all that matters.

I kinda love it because she looks super-funky. More importantly, though, thank you for adding "therapist beads" to my vocabulary. I love that! Ha ha

OK, "therapist beads" is the funniest thing I have ever heard.
I voted hate it, I think Meryl should have known better. The outfit she chose looked more appropriate for a dinner party not the Oscars.

    Stone me..I love this.

Fab, dear, are you being nice by using these camera phone like shots?

She looks much better in the better lighted pics with Nicole

The blue sash and orange beads emphasized her milky skin. As for the hair, well no one's straight hair looked good to me last night.

Over all I think Meryl looked earthy and self confident unlike the majorty of carpet walkers who looked severe and drawn.

Well I love Meryl Streep but have to say I was hoping to see her more glam.

Never seen her look so bad, shocking actually. Looks like she did not prep much at all for this. Sorry Meryl, you are capable of so MUCH MORE.

Who dresses her? She always has these awful beads and ill- fitting dresses. She's really lovely and needs help showing it.

I loved it, casual but still chic. She looked like she didn't need to impress anyone, but she still looked great.

The hair and "makeup" are the worst. Then again she's Meryl Streep and can do whatever she wants.

I kind of like the mother-earth style at the Oscars. Very casual but yet, she looks great.

Meryl has no sense of style(or I just don't get it) but she's amazing actress so in this case I don't care what she wears. Even potato sack is in order Eye-wink

I would much rather see her lean more casual in something like this than wearing some gown that doesn't fit right and looks awkward on her. At least she looks like herself.

The dress and sahs look good on her, but those beads are awful! She should have gone without those and she probably should have washed her hair too.

Stone me too because I thought she looked wonderful--happy, radiant, and completely comfortable in her own skin.

Meryl Streep is one of those people who can wear anything she wants to to all those events because she's not there to impress people with her outfit. Her work remains unaffected by her fashion choices. She's Meryl Streep and she can wear whatever the hell she likes as far as I am concerned. Smiling

    i voted love it
    because i do
i think its a gorgeous outfit
i like the beads but i don't like the plate of the necklace
her outfit looks great on her (of course)
*ya just need to see the whole outfit**
    she looks gorgeous (as usual)
**& theres nothing wrong with her makeup**

i do agree that it isnt meant for the oscars but i still love it

    now!
bagging her on her outfit is one thing
but bagging her, herself is just wrong
    thats going too far
she's an amaazing person, actor and singer
