i agree.. i would never want to betray Nicholas Ghesquière! NOT AT ALL as interesting and innovative as the originals.. come on, if you're going to make shoes, at least design your own, not rip off a REAL designer's!

I've seen these shoes all over the place recently! Haven't grown on me in the least. They're just hideous. Plain and simple.

I don't like the Balenciaga version so I definitely don't like these ones. I hate rip-offs. I mean how pathetic is it? Does everyone need to know that you cannot afford the real deal? I was at Urban Outfitters today checking their sunglasses and I found a fake $20 version of my tortoise shell Wayfarers. I compared my original one with the fake one and it was like totally the same except for the Ray Ban logo... I think it is stupid to downright copy designs. You can steal trends or influences (like H&M does)but just copying a design is bad.

I don't like a copycat, but I do like these better than the other design. These are cuter to me--which better suits the kooky concept. They'd be more fun to match on a silly, showy dress day. But I'd never pay $100 for them. $30 tops, if they caught me on an off day.

I can't believe that Steve Madden has the balls to send something so similar to Balenciaga's design. That is really messed up. If I was Nicolas Ghesquire, I would be pissed!

steve madden has been knocking off shoes for years now.
while i do think it is good that steve madden is trying to bring stylish designs to people that can afford them, i do think it is kind of a cheap shot to keep screwing people out of their innovative designs.
i do like the shoes, but obviously the Balenciaga ones are tremendously better. Nicolas Ghesquière is amazing.

Am I the only person who doesn't care if they are a rip off. Designers charge way too much for their "innovations" and I think it is cool that Steve Madden brings cool designs to us plebeians who can't afford them. While I don't like these in particular, I'm not ashamed to say that I couldn't afford the originals. Your economic situation is your economic situation and you have to live within your means. The knock offs don't bother me because they're not being marketed to the same buyers so the way I see it no harm, no foul.

I originals are nicer, these are really a total rip off of them, but I do like them both for something different.
