Trend Alert: Shake Your Groove Thing

There's nothing better to shake your groove thing in than a disco-inspired jumpsuit. It's slightly different than a romper with shorts in that it's less resort-like and more dressy. We touched on the subject earlier this year because we had a hunch it would become a major Spring craze. And we were right. Emmanuelle Chriqui (in Stella McCartney), Rihanna (in Sonia Rykiel), Gwyneth Paltrow (in Stella McCartney), Diane Kruger, Helena Christensen . . . all these ladies have already shaken their groove thang, and you should, too.

I remember way back when sites everywhere trashed celebs for wearing skinny jeans and leggings and now they are a wardrobe staple ..
I suppose the jumpsuit may share the same fate .. but personally for myself they belong in the same category as shoulder pads..........

Oh, I'm not trashing them, morningchampagne. I just don't think I'd ever wear them. But I don't wear skinny jeans unless they're under a tunic anyway... because I have an ass, and they look ridiculous.

No thanks. Just thinking of going to public bathrooms scares me away. It's just a hard look to master.

I like Rhianna's ultra chic/dressy one, but this can never be a positive trend. It would look atrocious even semi casual.

I wish emmanuelle chiqri woudn't have paired hers with a belt. All the others look so lovely unadorned.
