Fab Ad: Gianfranco Ferre Fall '09

I've got a serious soft spot for beautiful people — ahem, Julia Stegner, Malgosia and Javier de Miguel — lounging around in gorgeous clothes surrounded by moody shadows. Remember Valentino's Robert Palmer-esque Fall ads? Loved 'em. With a new design team on tap, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi of 6267, I expect we'll be seeing more fabulousness from this Italian fashion house. Don't you wish you could just lounge around with these folks? All the limbs, flowing hair, dark clothes and strong accessories are super seductive. The images were supposed to convey a '40s scenario, but I see something set more in the power-fueled '80s. Do you want to join this lounge party?

Uh, what's going on with the girl laying down in front? Is she supposed to look dead? Am I supposed to want to wear a dead girl's clothes? This whole series looks like maybe they had a threesome or something... boring! Moving on.

I'm so tired of adverts with two women and one guy. It's been done and lets see something new. These bore me.

Love. Even though its been done before, there's something very edgy about them.

I don't know, they're kind of unoriginal. I mean, the clothes are fab, the models are gorgeous, but the poses, the looks, the whole two girls and a guy - all old...
