The Look for Less: Chloe Leather Shoe Boots

When you're a celebrity, doing something as simple as picking up your dry cleaning is an opportunity to look your best. Take Mandy Moore for example; the starlet was in LA running errands in a pair of fabulously funky Chloe Leather Shoe Boots ($387, originally $645). They're worth every penny — I splurged and bought myself a pair — but it's my duty to let you know about this find.

These Forever 21 Patent Peep Toes ($28) have the same design but without the super soft leather and freakishly expensive price tag. I actually saw these shoes in person, they also come in a white and pink color combo, and was not impressed by the level of craftsmanship. But if price reigns over quality, it couldn't hurt to check them out for yourself.

Am I the only person in the world who thinks that this style is hideous? In person, they make legs look chunky.

I ordered the F21 shoes online a few weeks ago and am not impressed. They don't fit snugly around the ankle and are very uncomfortable. Sad

Fashionista.com is always ripping F21 for being such a copy cat, but what I dont understand is I thought that we are told that if we cant afford something gorgeous that we are supposed to find the similar style somewhere where we can afford it. So which is it? Anyways, both of those shoes are ugly in my opinion.

I agree with others, these are hideous. These shoes aren't flattering on anyone.

I actually for the F21 ones and they as far as fit are pretty similar to the Chloe ones I tried on, the greates diffrence is the Chloe ones are "seamless". For a such as this one that is uber trendy I wouldn't invest 600 or 300 dollars in them, because they next spring they will definately be out of style.

unlike other forever 21 shoes, these actually look pretty rad in person. only problem is that they wouldnt hold up past one wearing. i was holding them tightly becuase i was carrying quite a bit of crap and just my fingernail brushing against the patent "leather" left a deep scratch that wouldnt go away.

if you're going to get a knockoff of a designer style it's best to wait for the steve madden, topshop or ninewest versions to go on sale - theyre much better quality than any of the shoes at F21, and the prices can be just as low if you hit the right sale.

I love Mandy when she wears a black dress she looks so classy and tall. I want those sun glasses she has worn that pair before how old Hollywood, Mandy without a scarf it would not be Miss Moore, but those shoes Mandy, it reminds me of an old Chinese custom when they use to wrap the girls feet so there feet would not grow you have big feet we all know this, live with it, we love your feet(: I think this is an older photo her hair is lighter now. I love lucy!
