To say Christina Aguilera changed up her look for this year's VMAs is an understatement. I almost didn't recognize the singer with her dramatic eye makeup, heavy bangs, and Elvira-style sparkly dress. Clearly she's trying to go for something dramatic but do you approve?

Well, on the plus side she's less orange, that's a good thing. And her lips don't have blood-red or fuchsia-pink paste on them, that's good too. The eye makeup is too much, doesn't work. But I do like the idea of her trying something new, cuz she has looked like hell for quite awhile now.

i love the makeup - this is an awards show after all (the only other place you can get away with that make up is on the runway) - but not sure about the dress. Love that she has really changed her look - good for her!!

Love it. There's something very sexy about it. I like that she took a chance and moved away from the 50's vintage look that she favors.
