In anticipation of the official in-store and online launch of Rachel Bilson's Edie Rose for DKNY line, DKNY launched a mini site showcasing the clothes and how you can mix and match them. As Rachel puts it, "The pieces are really wearable which I think is important because you can mix and match from the line." With a mod palette of black, white, and yellow, the clothes have a prissy downtown vibe. One item I have my eye on is the tuxedo jacket with white piping.More details about when the collection will be in stores and online to come. After the jump you can watch a fun video with Rachel behind the scenes at the ad campaign photo shoot. She talks all about her design mantra, where the name Edie Rose comes from, her adoration for Diane Keaton, and her favorite piece from the collection.

To see the clothes piece by piece and to see the behind the scenes video with Bilson, read more.

This celebrity clothing line craze is getting out of hand... It's a bubble that's peaking just about now, and will burst anytime.
I, for one, wonder what credentials Rachel Bilson, SJP or Sienna Miller have to create garments. People go through years of blood, sweat and tears in design school, and along come these bimbos, who happen to have $$$ to buy all the latest fashions (who wouldn't be best dressed with the cash they drop)and call themselves designers...

I do like the tuxedo jacket and the yellow/black combination. I look like a bumble bee when I wear those two colors together, but it looks great here. The thin yellow belt looks especially great.

Your mouth is full of truth Silvers. I do like a couple of the pieces but they are certainly not designed by a pro.

I was expecting more of this collection to be honest with you, the only thing that I really like is the yellow dress(have to see how it looks) but the rest of the collection is nothing especial. I guess that what silver says is right they are way to over rated and have no credentials, but that yellow dress is very cute.

I really want the tuxedo jacket, yellow studded dress and the white blouse with faux tie. Somehow, I was expecting a bit more though.

I think that its a pretty good effort, mixing classic with trendy. Obviously not top end, but still eniticing enough that i would buy a few of the pieces.

I definitely plan on buying the yellow and the black dresses from this collection...I love Bilson's style and this is probably the one celeb line that I've actually been excited for.

i hope that this collection does well for DKNY and for r-bils. i think that donna karan is trying to make her stuff more relevant in these hard times and this could do it since we all can agree that rachel is a fashion trendster for her generation. my fingers are crossed that things will fly off the racks for them!
