2008 Emmy Awards Trend Alert: Dripping With Beading

Sep 21 2008 - 10:00pm Lavishly beaded dresses are no strangers to the red carpet. Nevertheless, their gorgeousness paid us many visits at the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. Whether on neutral, black, or white dresses, sparkly beads and crystals made the carpet a much more luminous place tonight. Case in point: Kyra Sedgwick in L'Wren Scott (left). Without the bead detailing, the dress would simply be a plain white dress. Gasp! Beading also appeared on asymmetrical straps, cap sleeves, trains, and sprinkled all over.
