There's nothing more beautiful than a redhead in dusty pink. And who better to portray the frilly girliness that is Donna Karan's Resort '09 line than model Karen Elson? "Karen has this paleness of skin, this white skin that was so delicious," the designer said. "There is a little bit of decadence and glamour, but at the same time honesty to it." This is the designer's first-ever resort ad campaign, and she's done a fine job. Starting from the soothing color palette to the delicate fabrics and Karen's nonchalant posing, it's quite memorable. Hard for me to say, this ad is clearly targeting an audience that isn't me, but probably the right audience that can afford to buy designer resort wear.
