Band-Aid Activ-Flex Blister Block Stick, $7, is the latest and greatest invention for blister prevention! It's the end all be all excuse for buying ridiculously expensive and uncomfortable shoes. Ahh, and this also happens to be great for your wedding day because let's face it: you can't really break in your wedding shoes without running the risk of getting them dirty!

This new product is an invisible shield that you swipe over the areas on your feet where you would normally get a blister. It actually looks kinda like a deodorant stick. The emollient coats and protects the skin from being rubbed raw by the friction of your stiff shoe. And, because it's invisible, it's safe to wear with open toe shoes and it isn't messy so it won't damage your shoes.

I just bought this. So weird. I saw it in an ad in vogue this month and thoughts such as "my Christian Louboutin patent leather platforms wont make me want a wheel chair" went running through my head. It works amazingly well. I can run in my heels and keep that bright shiny smile on my face. Oh the joy of products.

Tip for breaking in wedding shoes -- wear them around a carpeted room in your house while wearing a pair or two of thick socks. The socks will stretch the shoes in all the right places, and if you're wearing them on carpeting in your own home, you won't get the shoes dirty.

Gee----I always wondered if the ridiculously expensive shoes, like Christian Louboutins, would be more comfortable as well as not give you blisters. Guess I was wrong.
That makes me feel a little better, since I could never afford shoes like that.Sad

Spray antiperspirant is supposed to do the same thing if sprayed on feet before wearing blister-inducing shoes.

I love this stuff! I saw an ad for it and bought it last week before my trip to NY. The thing is, it doesn't really stop shoes from hurting. I have these patent leather peep-toes that always kill my toes by the end of the evening. When I used the blister block, they still hurt, BUT I didn't get a blister and the shoes didn't cut into my feet. So even though my feet hurt while I was wearing the shoes - they didn't the next day. I think it is worth buying!

Hurrah! There are so many flats that have been calling my name, but I don't know what to wear with them besides band-aids to make them more comfortable!
