These Boots Are Made For Walking: Over-the-Knee Boots

There's no denying the power of boots. They're funky, functional, and boast a plentiful harvest.

Let me draw your attention to the subject at hand: these Kristen Lee Montague Boots ($346) go over the knee in an oh so slick manner. The supple suede exudes decadence while the wide, low heel makes for a functional staple. These thigh-grazing boots are made for the strong so stomp loud, stomp proud. Tip: stray away from the tacky and stick to dark, muted colors for a modern appeal.

I'm so clueless when it comes to boots, since I own zero (I know..)

Do you guys think over-the-knee boots can be worn with skinny jeans and look cute?

I feel like over-the-knee boots would be difficult to walk in and/or feel weird.

I still dream of those Chanel ones that Anne Hathaway wore in The Devil Wears Prada...

I think they'd give you a tough rocker chick look if in leather, more casual if they were slouchy suede flats or v. low heeled. So it would really depend on the look you were going for.

IMO start out with a pair of booties for your first pair of boots. I have ones that are over 30 years old and still look hot with everything from skirts (short and long) to skinny jeans or trousers with a wider leg. You'll have so many choices since they are so hot right now. Over-the-knee boots won't be as versatile, but will definitely be a statement if that's what you're looking for!

I love the way boots look but couldn't wear them. My feet hurt all the time so it would suck for me.

i almost said the vicki's ones were frye knock-offs but then i clicked and saw they were frye haha. i love the gray ones. i LOVE and possibly need the Joie ones.

and yes i think you can wear them with skinny jeans! or over tights of course. they are actually very versatile!

I would totally buy over the knee boots if I were taller but alas I am not, so my boots will have to stay below my knees
