While most 18-year-olds have no idea what they want to do with their lives, jewelry designer Erika Peña, on her 18th birthday, moved from Puerto Rico to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design. And that is where her adventure began.

In the Big Apple, her focus was fashion design. There, she worked with many designers like Donna Karan and Josie Natori. Soon after, Erika launched a clothing line called "epe." It was during this time of collaborating with various designers that she launched the Erika Peña jewelry Line.

The inspiration for her bling comes from her move from Manhattan to Puerto Rico - where she now resides. She really wanted to convey her experiences through her jewels, which are a bit rough like New York and a tad light and airy like the Caribbean.
