First Peek at Erin Fetherston for Target

One of our savvy sources snatched up some first glimpses of the next GO International designer collection for Target - the girlie girl of new designers Erin Fetherston. Due out in November, the collection is full of nightgown inspired frocks and flowy delights in kindergarten colors with sweet details like hearts and ruffles. I think they are a bit too little girlie, especially with all the freshly sophisticated looks for Fall. What do you all think?

And don't forget Libertine for Target will be hitting the racks next month!

The tiered dress in shades of purple is fabulous! I think I need it! The other two are a little too school-girl for me! What is the price point on this line?

I think that the collection is great for the demographic that Target sells to (13-18 yo). Also, i think paired with something a little less feminine, some of these pieces could be great.

I think this is cute if you're 13. and the pose is very Lolita. I wish they would give us some wearable fashion. something edgy and cool, but also functional. like you could wear it more than once without everyone remembering it, or saying "here she comes in that outfit again."

i think it's creepy because these are very youthful clothes, shown on a very grown up woman, posing like she just had a fit or wet her pants. and the pic on the right she has her feet turned in, like i'm so sweet and shy! whatever.

I'm not sure how well she will translate into the cheaper market. Most of the beauty of her clothing is that it is made with such gorgeous fabric. If it isn't made of the high quality fabrics then it won't be so great.

The model is throwing me off...Maybe it would be cute if the girl didn't look like she was posing for playboy.

Something about Erin Fetherston bugs me. I think it's because we went to Cal at the same time.

I love the red shorts (though, as I told Fab, I wish they were a skirt instead) but these other looks are too little-girlish for me. I'm not saying I want to dress like Bea Arthur, but I don't want a fashion flashback to kindergarten, either!

The first look is very Elegant Gothic Lolita and the second is very similar to a grey Marc by Marc Jacobs F/W dress. I like these but don't think they're very "mass market"...at least not in the US.

Taken separately, they're not too bad. But coupled with that model and the way she's styled, much too flower girl gone punk for me.

These all look like outfits little girls would wear for their kindergarten pictures. I think it goes a tad further than "kindergarten colors". Plus, they are making the model stand and have an expression that is reminiscent of childhood. I like playful, but I want to look like an adult at the same time.

There definitely is a girlish quality to all the pieces, but I think the styling of the photos is so over the top that they seem more girly than they actually are. I agree with the person that said if these were paired with something more masculine or clean-lined, they would look great.

I can only hope those mary janes are part of the collection, but they're probably not.

I agree with hebden in that those pieces remind me of the Elegant Gothic Lolita look, popular in many Asian cultures. I like the uniqueness of it and even though I can't see myself buying half of the stuff offered, I like having access to designer pieces at my local Target.

Oh you lucky people! I think this stuff looks fantastic. We here in Australia have to deal with the very unsuccessful 'Josh Goot for Target' line. It's rubbish and no fun at all. Wish I could have access to the Erin Fetherston collection later in the year. Sad

very girly, but somehow for some reason reminds me of those twins from The Shining. The ones that ask the little boy to play with them. creepy

Wow. That first outfit (in black) is kind of... creepy. They are all way to juvenile for my taste. I guess if you're into the kindergarten chic it's pretty awesome, but I don't really forsee people running to Target for ensambles that remind me of the creepy twins from The Shining.
