2008 Swim: Jessica Simpson

Hot, hot, hot - that's all I can say about Jessica Simpson's 2008 Swim collection. And would you expect anything less from the hottie herself?

A bit of print overload - there's something for everyone. From flirty polka dots to nautical stripes to a humble paisley and refreshing geometric print, these suits had personality. As for the cuts, it was a circus of skimpy strings, sexy bandeaus, sporty ruched numbers and some super sexy cut-out one pieces (my personal faves). The fun accessories: cowboy hats, head scarves, tousled curls, and biggie sunnies all added sass; oh, and the signature cowboy boots too. I definitely saw some of all-American Jessica in this collection - maybe she's found her true calling!

I do question how much work she actually did herself in terms of designing and planning everything. Is she one of those "celeb designers" who just has a huge team that does every thing and she just gives them approval and takes credit OR does she really put in that hard work that real designers do

Oh you know this is a classy swimwear line when one of the models walking down the runway with a visble tattoo just up her buttcrack. Yup this really screams classy.

personally i'm not a big fan of the skirt and odd waistlines. i also question how some of the tops would fit non-model types.

Unless I magically lose 60 pounds I'm pretty sure me and half the population of real girls cannot wear these swim suits. They seem a little too skimpy for comfort

Just say no to Jessica Simpson clothes, shoes, swimsuits, perfume, body lotion, lip gloss...need I go on? What's next? her own line of canned tuna?

C'mon, she had nothing to do with the designs....give me a break! She is too dumb to do anything remotely intelligent! Anyway, who the hell can wear these tiny swin suits? F'k her!

I would wear these swimsuits! I don't really care if she designed or had hired help, the designs are cute! I love the blue two-pieces.

That flowery one, corset-style one is gorgeous, but other than that her collection is alright. However it was more than I expected her collection to be, which is a good thing I suppose.

I don't really like Jessica and her stuff is not that great. Nothing new or spectacular. And her shoes are on the tacky side. Looks like singing and acting are not paying off.

They are very cute, however why isn't Jessica, or somebody more womanly-figured modeling the suits? Why can't anybody overcome the stupid extremes we've set for models?

I'm not going to support Jessica Simpson with my $$$$. I don't like her personality and I don't think too highly of her.

They are cute , seem a little unrealistic for most- but cute....she never designs her stuff though. It is all made by a team and she signs off on it and slaps her name on it. Do u ever really see her wear her own stuff from her line?? I mean even Beyonce wears her own ugly clothes...which you can totally tell she designed herself. I just dislike Fake people and Jessica seems like she would be queen of the bunch.

jessness thats always how i feel- i hate when they just throw their name on and claim they are designers. i think only a few celebs might actually play a more active role in it. like mila jojovich (sp?) for instance, seems to actually play a part in it

The swimmingsuits are very pretty. I love them...If I just could buy one...hehe, I can dream...in Poland they won't be available, I'm sure. But I love them!!! If Jess designed them-good work.

I'm diggin her suits. Good for her! I don't see it passing as "classy" swimwear but moderately priced, people might buy it.

There were a couple of cute ones, but for the most part they seemed kind of generic. Nothing too creative or different about them and a lot of the prints looked cheesy. I also have to agree with a lot of you that the fit was off on a lot of the tops. I even saw some bottom boob on a couple of the models.

I think these are cute. I don't understand why someone said that because a model had visible tattoos that this means it couldn't be a classy line? I am surprised that such stereotypes are still out there. I thought the line was well presented, and I wish Jessica success with her latest endeavor.

Cute but nothing so special that I have to have one of these. Some of the suits look a little to girlish for a woman to wear. I wish they would come back with the tops that have underwire in them and that help give a woman some cleveage. I am very small breasted and putting those tops on like these models just looks awful. That is why I am still wearing a bathing suit I got 3 years ago.

I was dissapointed. I think that the designs are pretty average. I doubt any of the suits would fit my body and I'm pretty skinny. I'm not keen on the little frills
