I don't mind the leggings, but I do think the shoes could be something else. But, I'm not hating the overall look here.

I'd rock that dress with some brown reefs or rainbows for day - I love that mix between classy/high-end and comfy. For night, I'd do a pretty brown peep-toe kitten heel, or a peep-toe low-heeled mule. BTW that BARELY looks like Jessica Alba!

The dress and leggings are okay, but not with those shoes.

The shoes are too heavy for it. Their too high fashion for such a casual look.

those shoes are sex kitten and make me wanna tackle her rawr. but umm...yeah i don't care about this look. snooze!

I like it just fine. The leggings are a younger look, so its a nice change because it always seems that she is trying to look older and sophisticated. And I think it helps balance out the chunky shoes where as if she didn't have the leggings on the shoes would look completely wrong for the outfit. Not saying I like the shoes, but the leggings just help them fit with the dress better.

The shoes are terrible, it's too chunky. It does nothing for the legs. Thin straps, or strapless shoe would have looked better. I wouldn't wear the dress period, brown is not my color!

leggings and shoes killed the look. By day I would maybe keep the leggins and wear some flipflops, but by night all she needed was a decent pair of heels. Those shoes just ruin the outfit.

I don't think the leggings are of the right color....maybe something on the brown tones--that complement one color on the top. The shoes has to go too

the leggings definitely kill it, although they're not as bad as the shoes. simply black heels minus leggings would have looked great, too much kills it...but i still love her. really like the dress.

I am not a big fan of the leggings under the dress. I've only seen a couple of times when an adult (celeb or otherwise) has worn that combo and looked good. Otherwise, I think it's a look best left to those under 13 years of age. I love this dress and the shoes - just not together. I do like that she didn't do accessory overload with such a busy dress and shoes.

i wold take the legginfgs and shoes off- they distract from the dress. Then i would put on two or three stacks of clear braclets and wear gold heels.( like mary janes)

Some really cute brown shoes, maybe peep toes like Sophia Bush's at the Mandy Moore release party. But yeah... no leggings and no gladiator shoes.

I don't like leggings that much, and only sometimes they work with outfits. And that's not the case here, they don't look so great.

I like leggings for casual, daytime looks. For me, the problem with this outfit is the dress. I don't like it. And I agree that the shoes are wrong.

I love the look but not the colours, i would have kept the dress the same but the leggings brown and changed the shoes to brown peep toes like Sugarls sweeter 01 suggested

there is a catch in wearing mini dress. You will end up always thinking are you showing your underpants or something else... tights help to make the dress less provocative and to make you feel that you can move and sit any way you want, without showing your intimate parts...

I like the leggings but I'll opt for a neutral peep-toe wedge and add on some gold bangles...

I have NEVER and WILL NEVER wear leggings. Period. There is no excuse to wear them, ABSOLUTELY NONE. They look terribly with almost everything and turn most women into sausages. They're hideous, IMHO.

Then again, I don't like Ms. Alba either. I'm all about being really happy to be from whatever culture you're from and Jessica has had a lot of statements where she not only denies having a latin heritage, but where she says that she HATES being considered a latina actress.

Lose the leggings (a trend that I just can't get with) and the shoes. Add some flat gladiator gold/bronze sandals or a nice peep toe pump in a bronze color and some nice bracelets.

when leggings first came back into style, i hate them. now that i've gotten used to them - i love them!

however, i think most of the time they make an outfit look more youthful, so they work here for me.

PS: if i was a celeb, i would wear leggings under everything - simply to steer clear of the pap's obsession with crotch shots (unless i had an adorable hubby like Becks covering me up!!!)

why does she seem she's always trying to look "cool" these days... she should just stick to her elegant styles, she looks more put together that way i i had this dress, i would just loose the tights and maybe add some accessories with the same style as the shoes so it ties the outfir together...

What's wrong with the leggings? Let's just ditch the shoes for those YSL platform peep-toe Mary Janes. Same idea but less S&M. I think she looks fabulous otherwise.

although leggings are the epitome of trendiness, trends are indeed a definate part of jess's style. i think yes, she could have ditched them, but she still looks fabulous just the same

with/without leggings its a beautiful outfit.
