It appears that the rumors about Daisy Lowe being Agent Provocateur's new girl were false. WWD revealed today that Maggie Gyllenhaal has been chosen instead! Maggie will appear in the first episode of the AP online campaign beginning September 1, with three more episodes to follow.
A bit of a surprising choice, but then I think of her in the S&M flick Secretary, and I know Miss Maggie can handle her share of lingerie just fine.

hahaha secretary is SOOO funny. Didn't see the spanking scene though, but I would love to see the reaction of James Spader during that scene. I think Maggie can pull it off. I know she's no Adriana Lima, but I swear their is something about her that's so sensual and intriguing.

LOVE it. I love the whole intelligent-sexy vibe she had going in "Secretary" (which is, frankly, my only frame of reference for Miss Maggie, but a great one nonetheless). And for all the people who think this is "weird" - keep in mind that the term "agent provocateur" is a term that means "a person who secretly disrupts a group's activities from within the group." I think their choice of Maggie is a nice way to "shake things up" in a sea of blandly perfect Kates, Giseles and Adrianas.

The Secretary scarred me for life -- but then again, I sat down and watched it with my aunt and uncle. I never hear the end of it at family get-togethers, ha!
