Dolce & Gabbana Plastic Aviator Sunglasses: Love It or Hate It?

Hmmm, these Dolce & Gabbana Plastic Aviator Sunglasses, $275, look a lot like safety glasses, and that's not a good thing. I would consider buying them for my dentist for when he's drilling my teeth (cringe). It may come in handy for safety but never for fashion. What do you think of them?

These look EXACTLY like safety goggles! I don't get the point. Why are they clear? Are you supposed to get your prescription put in them? Crazy!

Although, there's probably someone out there who could pull these off...

I wear eye protection just like this when I go to the shooting range. Even there, I feel like a dork.

They're not great, but at least they're something *different*.
So tired of the white plastic-framed euro-shades and black-framed bug-eyes....

I mean, it would be awesome to wear Dolce & Gabbana to the lab, really... but these don't even have splash protection. Disappointing.

Not flattering at all! The model here looks a bit (okay, a lot) geeky, so imagine how someone without the airbrushing would look like out in public with these things!!

Why would you pay that much for something that you could get at a lab for $20?

I think the badness of these sunglasses is accentuated by the fact that the model is very typical model-y looking. If it was a high-fashion, weirdly makeup-ed model, I think maybe they'd look less ridiculous.

Um. Exactly HOW are these supposed to function as sunglasses? Last time I checked, sunglasses were intended to SHADE your eyes from the sun.

I wouldn't exactly call these sunglasses as they do nothing for you when it comes to the sun. I don't care for them, they remind me of the goggles/glasses I had to wear back in chemistry.

Time to break out the labcoat and sanitary gloves! Those are Dentist Chic. Ick, I would never wear those.

Can't see how these would protect your eyes from the harmful sun rays.

Unless I'm going to target practice, or whipping up chemical concoctions in my lab, I don't see the point in wearing these.

Yuck! I think they do this as a joke to see how many people would actually adopt this as a trend and then they laugh to themselves about it (all the way to the bank might i add)

I would think in these days they must have some form of technology in THAT CLEAR PLASTIC to prevent the sun rays from the eyes, would hope so anyway, otherwise what's the POINT?
