As one of the most prominent fashion TV personalities of late, it's no surprise that silver fox style expert Tim Gunn, of Project Runway fame, landed himself his own show. "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" seeks to makeover "fashion-challenged" women. With tough-love and guidance Tim and his fashion accomplice, former model Veronica Webb, lead women on an emotional journey to unearth their personal style.

It's true this makeover show is not the norm - it is thorough, sophisticated and emotional. And, educational. There are some aspects every woman should learn such as Gunn's "essential shopping list" which includes 10 basic pieces that no closet should be without - LBD, classic white shirt, blazer etc. and the importance of fit, as exhibited by some nifty computer technology. tim gunn is one of my personal heroes. i'm sad he's not going to be on PR anymore, but i am so glad he got his own show. this is one of the only shows coming up that makes me wish i had cable!
