As one of the most prominent fashion TV personalities of late, it's no surprise that silver fox style expert Tim Gunn, of Project Runway fame, landed himself his own show. "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" seeks to makeover "fashion-challenged" women. With tough-love and guidance Tim and his fashion accomplice, former model Veronica Webb, lead women on an emotional journey to unearth their personal style.

Via our Fab sponsor, BravoTV, Tim wants "every woman to achieve her style zenith." I must say: I was not the only one who shed a tear at the end of the pilot - the whole cast had! It's true this makeover show is not the norm - it is thorough, sophisticated and emotional. And, educational. There are some aspects every woman should learn such as Gunn's "essential shopping list" which includes 10 basic pieces that no closet should be without - LBD, classic white shirt, blazer etc. and the importance of fit, as exhibited by some nifty computer technology. We could all use a weekly dose of Tim Gunn and here's how! Be sure to watch Thursdays starting September 6th at 10/9c.

What?! He won't be on project? When did this happen? I had no idea. Excuse me, I need a moment by myself now.

Hooray for Tim Gunn! What I always liked about Queer Eye was how positive it was and it looks like this show is just as educational and affirming. (So much better than the nastiness of What Not to Wear.)
