Elizabeth and James Glam Jacket: Love It or Hate It?

So, I'm thinking the Olsens must have been looking to the abominable snowman for inspiration on this one. The white shaggy goat fur on this Elizabeth and James Glam Jacket, $995, definitely screams more "Yeti" than anything else to me.

Also, there's the separate consideration that the jacket is made out of goat fur, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the idea of anything getting my goat. What about you?

    I actually like it. I hate the way it's styled, but I'd like to see it done up Biba style, with a tea dress, ribbed tights, smokey eyes and a floppy hat.

    I cry for the slaughter of the poor Abominable Snowmen (er, Snowpeople) who gave up their fur to make this fug. Even the model has an expression like, "You must be kidding me, really, $1000?" Someone call PETA.

    I REMEMBER A PICTURE OF ME @ ABOUT 9 YEARS OLD IN THE LATE 70'S WEARING A JACKET ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THAT - B'COS I WAS SOOOO FASHION FORWARD. IT WAS BIG BACK THEN. RIGHT NOW, IT'S A LITTLE "TWILIGHT ZONE" (CUE THEME MUSIC!) I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!

    FUR IS NEVER CUTE! Its cruel. I'm pretty sure the goat needed that fur a bit more than we did. I hate the use of fur. I dont care what designer makes it...what celebrities are wearing it...it is NEVER ok to wear fur.
