A Fabby Halloween: Dazed and Confused Senior B*tch

I wasn't a Senior bitch in high school. I was so over high school by the time the fourth year rolled around. I was attending college parties and eagerly awaiting college. I wasn't a bitch, I was aloof.

But, after seeing Dazed and Confused I so wanted to be a Senior bitch. Parker Posey, who played Darla, was my favorite. If you haven't seen the movie add it to your Netflix now, but the scene pictured is when the Senior bitches haze the incoming Freshman girls. These four foxes spray and squirt the girls with raw eggs, flour, peanut butter and ketchup — yum! They do have the courtesy of driving them through a car wash to rinse them off.

This costume is easy and breezy; but learn this line, as Halloween is the only time you can say it without repercussions: "Wipe that face off your head bitch!" Go Darla!

And yet, behind every clever and ironic statement, there is just another girl who wanted to dress like a slut on Halloween.

I'll be going as Patty Hearst if I can find just the right firearm.

Rugelach, I totally agree with that. My boyfriend and I always laugh when Halloween comes around and a lot of girl use it as an excuse to dress up like a Ho. It's totallt trashy.

I never liked the movie Dazed and Confused. I think I'm the only person in the world who hates it.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie!!!!!

i like going to halloween adventure and laughing at all of the skanky costumes. i try to find ones that don't look like i wore my underwear as a costume (like those "cat" bodysuit costumes, please!).

my husband & i are doing jack & sally from nightmare before christmas this year. Smiling

Correct me if I'm wrong - but this costume isn't that slutty. The Senior b*tch is pretty covered up except her legs...Eye-wink xo

Oy! That was a joke, not a personal attack. There ought to be a law about the pass-agress emoticons and xo's. And riddle me this: How likely would you be to dress as the Elephant Man for Halloween? Or go with your boyfriend as the Connors from Roseanne?

Lol, Darla was so funny! She would have scared me as an underclassman, and then I would be pretty disillusioned by her as an upperclassman.

Well, it's not technically slutty. But in terms of a grown woman dressing up for halloween as an 18 year old, it has a bit of a sexual undertone. and anything that involves short shorts and knee socks, (if not in an actual sports event), is probably done with less than modest intentions. ya know? Rugelach: I have dressed up the mouse and the cookie as an adult (just last year--for a huge house party w/ a friend).

However, this year I will be a little more out there with my costume. Each year I trade-off on cute and flirty versus something that is just plain funny or cute.

    XOXO

I'm not saying this costume is slutty, because it's not.
Rugelach's comment about the slut costumes got me thinking about the holiday and the fact that a lot of girls use the holiday as an excuse to dress like a ho. The Leg's Avenue collection of costumes you see at Halloween stores are a great example.

I agree Meg23 (about the Leg's Avenue) and how uninspired. Anyone can purchase one of their $50 underwear costumes in a ziplock and be "dressed" for Halloween, I think half of the fun of dressing up is thinking of a unique idea and pulling together items to make the costume. Plus, you don't have to worry about the other 40 "Dirrrrty Girl Scouts" at the party.

hahahahhahaah i so did not expect this i love it when people who are no longer in high school say they're over it

i guess everybody who dresses for an occasion is a b*tch then right

    JLO @ the grammys - b*tch
    Felicity Huffman - b*tch

so i guess if you're famous u have an almighty god complex
if theres one thing i've learned from lindsay lohan, in mean girls no matter what clique u are in, u can be miserable

just because u enjoyed/or are in high school doesnt mean ur a b*tch

I'm just saying i agree with Rugelach, not making personal attacks. Eye-wink

On second thought since I haven't seen the movie but read the prank, I would be more concerned about the intent of that rather than what they are wearing which doesn't appear to be that provacative.

OMG, my best friends and I were OBSESSED with this movie when it came out...we were sophomores in high school and let's just say, we could relate to many things in this movie! I love Parker Posey, she's so funny in this movie, but Simone has always been my fave. I am so going to suggest this costume idea to my girls for Halloween next year!

haha i've been planning on doing this (before i saw it on FabSugar)!

i suggest a real jersey! hockey jerseys have the closet cut to a vintage football jersey. i bought a white practice jersey from Dick's Sporting Goods for $12. a youth s/m fit me perfect. (i'm 5'7", 125)

vintage style (2 stripe) tube socks can be found at Journeys. i think a 4 or 5 pack is $10.

Eastbay has vintage style Nike's for $50 i think.

    good luck seniors!
    Smiling
