What's stylish, bulky, and arrives at your doorstep every month? Why, it's Vogue magazine of course. After you've carefully dissected every page of the fashion bible, there has to be a way to continue putting it to good use. While most people would simply throw their old magazines in a fashion coffin, we Fab ladies know better than to neglect our chic confidant. That's why we've found three ways to put your fashion mags to use long after they've been read and reread.

To find out how to put your Vogues to work, read more

  • Use your mag to elevate your computer screen in the office like I've done. It helps my posture, plus, it makes my work environment look ultra-Fab.
  • Use your fashion mag as a pseudo iron. Lay your clothing item (i.e. this adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs Essex Faille Dress, $54 on the bed and use your heaviest mag — September and March issues, respectively — to smooth out the wrinkles. You can also leave on the wrinkled area for a few hours for extra smoothing power.
  • Recycle by using magazine pages as stylish gift wrap (speaking of, stay tuned for our Fab Gift Guide). Cut out the pages you love, tape them together, and wrap away.

I love the present wrapping idea!! I have 3 or 4 VOGUES under my lamp on my bedside table. It lifts up the lamp, but looks chic, too.

I love the envelope idea, thanks liza0183!!! I just started ripping out the pages of outfits I can easily copy and place them in three hole punch sheet protectors and keep them in a binder divided by seasons. Usually the night before I skim through pages select an outfit for the next day, that way I don't have to worry about any closet trauma!!

Vogue is a great magazine, I buy it whenever I am in a drugstore.

Lucky is my most favorite though! I haven't missed an issue since it began publication.

I usually just cut out the photos I like, paste them into my lookbook and recycle the rest of the magazine.

Fab, I love that you're using the Marie Antoinette issue. The pictures in that are insanely gorgeous. I'd also recommend making collages of the fabulously wild advertisements, and putting them in a frame. For example, I cut out a picture of a dog, and put it on a beach, and affixed a giant piece of jewelry to his collar! It makes for a super cheap and quirky decoration you can change with your whims.

I like the pic of the mag under your comp. Too cute! Sometimes i do that too as my Macbook can get too heated and I use the mag like a mat for stability purposes too.
