I love vintage clothes.

I like some, but some are like UUUHHHHH NO!

I love vintage clothes, too. However, I feel that stores like this take away from the whole experience of thrifting and the exhilirating feeling of finding that incredibly awesome dress/shirt/sweater..whatever for SUPER cheap. I live in Atlanta where stores that buy vintage and mark it up so high its nearly unaffordable make it impossible to go to an actual thrift store and buy good stuff for cheap. Most midwestern states haven't caught on to this idea yet...and I kind of hope they never do

Agh, I just moved back to the SF Bay from L.A., where I lived maybe 5 miles away from that store in Echo Park. I would have loved to check it out, but I have a feeling the items would probably be overpriced and not much better than the nuggets of sartorial treasure you could find while scavenging at the Los Feliz Goodwill, where I scored awesome brown oxford heels, houndstooth material for my Halloween outfit as a mod nurse, *and* spotted a bored Seth Rogen tagging along with his girlfriend on a shopping spree.

I'm into American Apparel after what i know the owner does to the employees.

From a business aspect, it's good to diversify, only if you don't alienate your customer base and mission statement.

I don't do vintage anyways, so oh well . . .

if i wanted vintage i'll just head down to one of my local thrift stores. nothing feels like fashion heaven when you have an old marc jacob dress in your hands only for $65. i love the excitement.

I've only been into one American Apparel stores in my life, the one in Key West, and I was NOT impressed. I thought the quality seemed poor.

I don't understand this. The ads are not vulgar or sexually charged in my eyes. I think they look more like hipsters that haven't taken a bath in months.

i hate their ads. its like soft porn. i don't always want to see some chic's ASS whilst flipping through the SFBG.
