I read about their relationship a year or so ago in an article questioning the success of the Marchesa line. The article suggested that Weinstein "encourages" the stars of his movies to wear his girlfriend's designs, which consequently inflated the celebrity appeal of the line, and its overall success.

I personally like Marchesa, so who cares how its success came about.

I don't really think anyone who commented is shallow. It says that he is a movie mogul. That equals money. If we were shallow WE would be the young pretty girls on the rich, overweight, marginally attractive older man's arms. As much as it may disgust you, it is a very realistic thing happening right now and we are just stating that.

Obviously we don't know the dynamics of their relationship, but alot of times the girls fall in love with the money. Just saying...
