Longtime vegan Natalie, who until now only wore shoes from Target or Stella McCartney, has finally found a way to expand her collection.

As I revealed a couple weeks ago, she designed a cruelty-free line of shoes with retailer Té Casan. One hundred percent of the proceeds are set to benefit The Nature Conservancy, and the shoes can be ordered from TeCasan.com starting Tuesday, Jan. 15!

Cute, but I don't like them as much as the pair she was wearing in the last post.

super excited about this. I do buy leather shoes sometimes, but I always feel super guilty about it. And whenever I see cute vegan shoes I am all over that.

I don't *love* the shoes, but I hope this is an inspiration to others to create more vegan styles. If you google vegan shoes, you seriously get the ugliest things ever! These are such an improvement! I will never buy leather shoes or bags or jackets again, but I am going to wear the ones I have until they are totally worn out! I've started getting all of my shoes at Target, and I even bought a "leather" jacket there that people love!

I'm not a vegan, and I don't think I'll ever be one, but one of my friends is, and I think that she would love this! I'm definitely going to tell her about it.

as a longtime vegan its always reassuring to see anyone support the cause!
and plus... target started making most of their more 'fashionable' shoes out of leather now! quite a disappointment

i am vegan and agree that it is hard to find fashionable shoes that are cruelty-free. i am glad to see that there are now a few more beautiful (vegan) shoes to oggle at. Smiling i wish nice vegan shoes were more affordable.

I'm a vegetarian who doesn't wear leather or fur, and it's great to see Natalie Portman take a stand! Not many celebrities do. I'd have loved to see some more casual shoes though, as I don't wear heels. Some cute flats that are day-to-evening would've finished up the collection nicely...

Shoes kinda frumpy to me. If they are made of vinyl that is a pretty polluting process, so what is better? Hurt the animals or hurt the environment? I have bought shoes @ Target and Walmart and they are much cuter than these. No I'm not a vegan but I'm not for hurting others (animal, human or Mama Earth) either. Where do we draw the line?

I think most of these shoes are adorable! I can't wait until I make enough money to be able to buy a pair without guilt.

as a vegetarian who tries to live an eco-friendly life as much as possible i think this is a great step towards shedding light and making cruelty-free products mass-marketed and 'cool' for our generation.
theose shoes are fairly expensive, especially for the flats featured, but prices are often hiked on items just to make them seem more prestigious so i wouldnt have expected anything less.

    glad this was featured!

As a pet, lover, I support Natalie's cause 100%. She's red hot and so is her line! I was at the Te Casan debut and saw the collection first-hand. A little pricey, but very finely made shoes and sandals.

nat needs to google "pig slaughter" "santa cruz" and a few others before she loses her vegan cred.
