Michelle Obama got personal on the Jan. 3 episode of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert." The former first lady answered questions during "The Colbert Questionert," and one of her answers about her husband, former President Barack Obama, was very sweet. The talk-show host asked Michelle what her "favorite smell" is, and after a moment of thought, she answered, "My husband." The audience responded with an "aww" and a smattering of applause. She didn't describe the smell, but now we really want to know what kind of cologne Barack wears.

Michelle also offered other peeks into her life with Barack during the segment. Colbert asked what's something she owns that she needs to get rid of, and Michelle said she probably needs to get rid of some of her own clothes — according to Barack, who thinks she has too much. Colbert also asked Michelle to describe the rest of her life in five words, and she chose, "Family, friends, in the sun."

In regards to some of her favorite music right now, Michelle shared that Beyoncé's latest album, "Renaissance," is among her picks. She even called the legendary singer "my girl." Michelle previously praised Beyoncé's new music back in June, tweeting shortly after the release of her "Break My Soul" single, "Queen @Beyonce, you've done it again! 'Break My Soul' is the song we all need right now, and I can't help but dance and sing along while listening to it. Can't wait for the album!"

Michelle is still hitting the talk-show circuit to promote her book "The Light We Carry," which was released back in November. The book serves as a follow-up to her 2018 bestselling memoir "Becoming." In the new book, Michelle shares personal stories and her own strategies for dealing with stress and uncertainty. And of course, during her book tour, Michelle has talked a lot about her husband and their relationship.

On a December episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the host showed her a viral clip of Barack being called "fine as a motherf*cker" at a Detroit rally. Michelle revealed that she hadn't seen the clip before, but that Barack had already told her about it. "He came home, that was the first thing he said. I said, 'How'd it go?' He said, 'Somebody said I was fine,'" Michelle shared with a laugh. "I was like, 'Oh, really? That's so sweet.'"
