the Fred Flare's "risky business" are way more similar to the Ray Ban's, and only cost 10 $

i have a pair of actual ray-ban wayfarers, but i bought them not because of a trend, but because i've wanted them ever since i saw "breakfast at tiffany's" when i was a little girl. i'm not emulating kirsten dunst or an 80s trend, i'm emulating audrey hepburn, and what could be more classic than that?

Seriously... Bob Dylan, JFK, and James Dean wore them, too. How can they BE MORE classic than that? Having said that... don't follow this "trend" folks. They are like blunt bangs/fringe in that they just do not look good on everyone. Except me.

They're a classic that's enjoying a revival/surge in popularity. I think the trendy part is the whole colored frames thing. I'm kind of over cheapo sunglasses. Lenses crack and, worst of all, they're iffy on UV protection. I wanted to by some Breakfast at Tifffanys-esque tortoise shell ones ore some bright blue (actual Raybans) but found out that they don't look good on me. Sad day.

Ooh, but my sister got a highlighter green pair of immitation ray-bans from a street vendor and they're amazing on her. I kind of wish I had gotten the bright purple ones. But, again, no UV protection guarantee.

I'm in the minor here but I think they're not so cute. I'll stick with my aviators.

My older brother bought a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers in the early 90's and me and my dad would fight over them up until last month! (talk about vintage!)...I finally bought us both new pairs! I love my black ones they are a bit bigger than Dunst's
