Linha De Passe premiered at
Cannes this year and actress Sandra Corveloni won Best Actress for her performance in the movie. The film is set against the backdrop of Brazil in a state of crisis, and focuses on a family where four fatherless brothers try to find a way out of the city. Apart from the acting, the trailer really struck me for its cinematography and I can't wait to see more of it.
The drama is released in the UK on September 19 and is the fourth collaboration from co-directors Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Daniela Thomas (Paris, Je T'aime).

Clint Eastwood's period drama,
Changeling (or The Exchange, depending on who you ask) premiered at
Cannes and succeeded in impressing the critics, some of whom claim that Angelina Jolie may be looking at an Oscar nomination for her starring role. There's still no trailer for the film which is supposed to open in limited release October 24, but we do have a clip to check out.
The movie is set in the late-1920s and is based on true events. Jolie plays Christine Collins, a mother whose son has gone missing.

The
2008 Cannes Film Festival wrapped up on Sunday and with it came the prestigious awards ceremony. The top honor, the Palm D'Or, was given to Laurent Cantent's The Class. The film hails from France, a country who hasn't received the Palm D'Or for more than 20 years.

Ashley Olsen and Margherita Missoni are friends, so it's funny that both of them wore Missoni's sequined vest. I guess
some friends do dress alike. Ashley first wore it at an amFAR event back in January, with barely any accessories.
Madonna’s $471,000 Chanel Bag: Worth More Than a Kiss From Clooney!
The annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS benefit took place in Cannes last week. Last year, George Clooney auctioned off a kiss for $300,000, but this year Madonna’s alligator Chanel purse was the star of the show.

Over the weekend at the
Cannes Film Festival, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld arrived at the
Dolce and Gabbana party with thick, dark eyebrows that contrasted with her fair hair. It's obvious by her roots that she's not a natural blonde, and she isn't one to take a high-maintenance look anyway. But most colorists, while lifting a woman's base color, would lighten her brows as well to create uniformity.

Lindsay Lohan attended the
Dolce & Gabanna Cannes party over the weekend in a bum-skimming green dress. The mini dress features plenty of funky applique detail so she kept accessories minimal with simple diamond earrings and necklace. I can't help feeling that the dress is just slightly too short for her but what do you think.
This weekend saw more
Cannes activity, including a fabulous Dolce & Gabbana party that saw familiar and new celebs to the Film Festival walking the swirly carpet to be photographed. Lindsay Lohan
had reporters buzzing after showing up wearing a sparkler on her engagement finger, Rose McGowan had to accessorise with her large plastercast after she broke her leg, and the host duo showed up with
Cannes birthday girl Naomi
"Don't call me a supermodel" Campbell.
Kate Hudson looked stunning in a white mini-dress and was apparently
cosying up to her photographer-shy man Lance Armstrong all evening, Natalie Portman and
her man Devendra Banhart also showed up, posing separately, but Devendra showed just how happy he was to be there by having
a pre-party groove in front of photographers.
