Kate was looking bikinilicous
on the beach with her beau. Her Diane von Furstenberg bandeau bikini is unavailable online, but if you dig the zigzag print, here it is in string bikini version (
contact DVF if you must have Kate's). I'm a fan of wearing rugged jewelry beachside, so Kate's leather bracelets and ethnic necklace add to her Summer style.

Many years ago, Diane von Furstenberg and Andy Warhol hooked up at Studio 54. Not that type of hookup, silly. DVF posed for one of Warhol's iconic portraits (see below).

Diane von Furstenberg used to party with Andy Warhol at Studio 54 so I'm sure her latest plans will bring the memories flooding back. It was announced today that DVF would be collaborating The Andy Warhol Foundation on her resort 2008 and pre-spring 2009 collections.
The line of swimwear and cover-ups will feature Warhol's iconic prints.

Two Belgian born designers were yesterday added to the New York Fashion Walk of Fame. Diane von Furstenberg and the late Liz Claiborne were honoured joining the likes of Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Bill Blass. DVF
told Vogue, "I am very grateful to be recognised by the Fashion Walk of Fame and to be included with such an extraordinary group of fashion visionaries." Art Ortenberg, Liz Claiborne's former husband was there for his wife to acknowledge the honour.

Though I appreciate the way poets twist words, I would like to call attention to their trend setting sense of style. It's all about waxing poetry with big, floppy bows. There's something about this casually loose tie that adds a romantic flair to any outfit.

You probably think crochet is best left for the elderly but think again. Mischa certainly doesn't think so. I always knew this girl was a flower child at heart and here she is looking crochet cool while frolicking in the warm sands of Malibu.

Knits always feel right fireside. Fall's knit parade keeps things interesting with new silhouettes, pops of color, and dramatic styling. Missoni, adored for its signature knits, threw this tunic on Freja (left) atop colorful layering.

Diane Von Furstenberg is the fashion industry's wonder woman — is there any project she's not a part of. — but now she's using her special powers to design a new collection. Come October, Von Furstenberg
will unveil a line inspired by none other than Wonder Woman.

Fashion moves at the speed of light. While some designers with sound financing can keep up, there are many who can't and don't want to. Those in the latter situation have
shifted their mentality and are taking a more seasonless stance on fashion.

Am I the only one who likes to lie on a stylish towel when taking in the sun's rays. Come on, tell me you didn't love
the Missoni towel in my July Must Haves. Or, the simple route is nice too, per Reese and Jake in their matching striped Twinkie towels.
