The
Resort collections opened up a new world of doors for wide-legged pants. They've taken a backseat to the popular skinny leg for the past couple seasons, but the bell-bottomed '70s are back with a vengeance. As exemplified by Angela Missoni's Resort collection (left), mixing crisp, flared trousers with a funky top will lend you instant party chic.

Chevron
No, not the gas station, but rather, a V design created by woven contrasting colored V design or printed V design. Designers often create a chevron design by cutting a stripe on the bias.
Missoni often incorporates chevron in its dresses, tops, and pants.

Knits always feel right fireside. Fall's knit parade keeps things interesting with new silhouettes, pops of color, and dramatic styling. Missoni, adored for its signature knits, threw this tunic on Freja (left) atop colorful layering.

Oh, Missoni prints. There's something about the zig-zaggin' signature prints that tickles the stylista in me. I'm swooning over these
Missoni Variante Ballerina Flats ($395) because the warm-toned gold, pink, orange, and yellow design is carelessly fun.

Seeing runway photos is not nearly as enticing as seeing the clothes live, and Nordstrom's Designer Preview 2008 reiterated that fact. For example,
Bill Blass's gray/black tulle-bodice strapless dress — you know, the one Anne Hathaway wore
at the Get Smart premiere — literally came to life before my eyes on the catwalk. While I admired it on Anne, I fell madly in love with it that night because I saw the way the bottom half of the dress danced as the model pranced down the runway.
Stars Love... Missoni
The former Simple Life star donned a flowing print gown with a sequined bodice to the ASCAP Pop Music Awards. Gold bangles and a matching clutch warmed up the cool look.

Am I the only one who likes to lie on a stylish towel when taking in the sun's rays. Come on, tell me you didn't love
the Missoni towel in my July Must Haves. Or, the simple route is nice too, per Reese and Jake in their matching striped Twinkie towels.

Before you excuse this
1980s Missoni Dress ($95) for being too frumpy, hear me out. The thing about vintage is though it is oft one of a kind, it is also oft of another era. Read: old fashioned hemlines.

Traffic school classes aren't going to stop Nicole Richie from busting out all her cutest outfits.
This time around she opted for a loose-fitting M Missoni dress and gold gladiator sandals. On her arm is a gorgeous black Chanel bag (as of late, she's been ditching Balenciaga for Chanel, but I'm sure she'll be back to her signature in no time).

These fabulously fashionable charm necklaces from designer brands are the new "It" items of the season. Not only do they look pretty, but they're fully functioning cosmetic cases, too. Inside of these baubles by Dior, Missoni, and YSL are actual beauty products such as bronzer, creamy highlighter, and perfume.
