Much like shoes and handbags, you can never have too many placemats — or any table linens, for that matter. They're simply an effortless accessory that dresses your dining room up or down. Inviting the parents over?

The Bodo Sperlein Teardrop Pendant Lighting ($5,500) is made of handblown glass and bone china flowers. It is pretty gorgeous, though I'd be too afraid of breaking it to enjoy it fully. How about you?

There's no denying that florals have taken over the world of fashion this Summer and will continue to reign through the winter. Tiers and ruffles too have gradually encroached on our wardrobe. However, you can have too much of a good thing.
It seems like I'm not the only one who thinks that one rule of Summer style should be keeping things simple. Interior and food stylist Paul Lowe, whose gorgeous floral arrangements I featured earlier this week, agrees that simple presentations can make a huge visual impact when it comes to flowers. I asked him if he could provide CasaSugar readers with some simple Summer styling techniques when it came to flowers, and he happily agreed.

My favorite Hills girl Whitney Port traded her red brocade Nicole Miller dress for something a little more vibrant and trendy while having lunch with a gal pal. We've been seeing florals quite a bit lately, but Whitney shows us the trend has yet to be exhausted. To mellow out the loudness of the dress, she accessorized with a gray scarf and a black satchel.

Most of you don't like Balenciaga's Spring collection (tear) but what if I told you you could buy a similar look for way less? Would the considerably lower price change your mind? If so, Topshop just came out with this Balenciaga-inspired Floral Zip Jacket ($130) that I think is darling.

Feathers isn't all chopped up in real life, but she sure looks like it in this creative photo! She's got floral fever in her simple, stylish outfit. I love the combination of pink, brown, and dark blue.

One of the things I really like about Mischa Barton is that she's not afraid to try something different, even if it is a little bit risky. She attended the Candie's Foundation Event to Prevent Benefit earlier in the week sporting a pair of high waisted chinos. She nodded to this season's penchant for florals with a pretty camisole and then dressed up the look with brown chunky heels. See below to get the look for less.
I go ga-ga over Stella McCartney's Spring floral concoctions, and apparently so do Rihanna and Angie Harmon. The singer first wore Stella's floral jumpsuit back in April and accessorized with YSL heart sandals and oversized hoop earrings. Angie opted for a more polished evening look when she wore the same jumpsuit to the screening of The Party.

Who designed this yellow tiered halter-neck dress that Serena/Blake Lively was spotted in filming Gossip Girl this week?
