Natasha Poly must be the object of envy from her model friends, because she's the new star of Nina Ricci's Fall '08 ad campaign. It looks like Spring's girls Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski couldn't hold their own for another season. Like in past Nina Ricci ads, these shots are slightly brooding and heavy, but it's the right look for autumn.

Nina Ricci's Spring/Summer '08 ad campaign can easily be mistaken for Fall/Winter ads. The dark hues and layered clothes hardly scream Spring. Clearly that's what Olivier Theyskens was going for so he chose the ideal models — Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski — to convey the brooding mood. 
Everyone's opinions are always welcome on Fab. I think we can all agree that last night's SAG awards brought out a bevy of beautiful dresses. Whether they were intended for the Golden Globes or not, I say it's always better to overdress than underdress — especially when a red carpet is involved. 
As part of Nina Ricci's Spring '08 cruise collection, Olivier Theyskens brings us this Nina Ricci Tulle Tank Dress ($5,950). It's interesting to see a runway dress brought to the masses. Ever the feather lover, Olivier incorporates delicate feathers on this mini dress. 
Pick up the November issue of Harper's Bazaar and you'll soon realize that one of the greatest fashion magazines, started in 1867, is celebrating it's big 1-4-0! In a world so fickle, lasting that long in any industry is not easy. So let's put our hands together, clear our throats, and sing one of our favorite mags a happy birthday. 
Although the campaign for Nina Ricci's Fall 2007 collection looks straight out of fantasy land, Annie Leibowitz photographed everything on her property in Rhinebeck, NY. Model Anabela Belikova appears like a wood nymph among the greenery, draped in one of Olivier Theysken's feathery confections. The ambience is ethereal, romantic, and everything that embodies the magical mood of the collection. 
He's been at Nina Ricci a very short time, but Olivier Theysken's designs for the label have already been caught up in a whirlwind of hype - I'm thinking of the deal Anna Wintour's golden boy brokered with Reese Witherspoon for this year's award season, for instance.
For Cruise, Olivier carries over the blustery bluish-grey color scheme from his Fall 2007 Nina Ricci collection, as well as that asymmetrical dress silhouette which has treated him well. But the collection does have its hits and misses - I like the crocheted top and puffball skirt at left, but I'm not so sure about the color-washed footless tights. 
Olivier Theyskens' collection for Nina Ricci has exclusively hit Neiman Marcus.
Though most of us can't afford even one sleeve of a Nina Ricci jacket, it's still worth a look. This Nina Ricci Braided Dress, $2,890, is clearly a relative of Reese Witherspoon's Nina Ricci Golden Globe dress.
