On Our Radar: Alice McCall for Topshop Autumn 2008

Australian designer Alice McCall is back at Topshop with her second line for the High Street giant. Her summer collection was one of my favourite High Street collaborations so I'm very excited for her Autumn line.

The Autumn line, which became available yesterday consists of 3 dresses and a skirt all including McCall's classic fun prints. Price range is quite low starting at £38 for a skirt to £65 for a kimono dress.

My personal favourite is the bow dress (£60) which would be perfect for day to night wear; simply change your shoes from flats to heels. What do you think of the pieces?

On Our Radar: Marc Jacobs Graffitis Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs was so smitten by his 2001 collaboration with designer and artist Stephen Sprouse that he has created a capsule collection in his honor.

“I totally channeled Stephen,” Jacobs said of the Louis Vuitton line, which includes t-shirts, dresses, sunglasses, bracelets, a towel, and a sweatband.

Sprouse passed away in 2004, but his streetwise aesthetic and Day-Glo graffiti were highly popular in the '80s. Another "very Sprouse" item includes a custom-made skateboard and skateboard case which is going to be up for auction.

The current economic crisis seems to have no impact on Neiman Marcus. The luxury retailer has released its annual Christmas book, and it's chock full of extravagant gifts. Edible 23-karat gold powder, BMWs, Cartier jewelry — the list goes on and on. We surely can't afford such decadence, but there's no harm in dreaming, right?

The catalog boasts an abundance of lavish gifts for everyone in your life. Cowboys fan? Neiman has your man covered with its $500,000 roll of synthetic turf cut from the Dallas Cowboys’ end zone at Texas Stadium. And for all the ladies, how about owning a piece of history with a 16th-century tourmaline and gold ring for $45,000? On Our Radar: Cocosa

Those clever people at Bauer Media who created Grazia and Heat have now extended their empire to include online designer shopping. They're soon to launch online designer store Cocosa which will offer designer pieces at a discounted rate to members only. You have to sign up to the site with the password 'cocosa1' and then await their email informing you of the first sale which is due to happen in late October.

The pieces on offer will be limited edition and could be from past or present collections. I am a member of similar sites to this and it's always worth a look. It's unfortunately currently only open to UK shoppers.

On Our Radar: Costume Institute Database Goes Online

The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a must-see stop in NYC. It features over 30,000 costumes and accessories from around the world. Don't plan on visiting the Big Apple anytime soon? No worries. Thanks to the Met, we can now view the Costume Institute from the comfort of our own homes at www.metmuseum.org.

The online database, which will be constantly updated, allows the public to view collections from the likes of Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, and Salvatore Ferragamo to name a few. From Europe to Africa, this exhibit has it all. Check it out.

On Our Radar: Lou Doillon to Open a Store

This weekend at John Galliano's Spring show Lou Doillon revealed her plans to open a Parisian store. The uber-cool French model/actress/designer revealed her plans to open a concept store early next year.

She told WWD, “We’ll have a mix of fashion, literature, modern and old, with more of an English than French influence, and not conventional."

Doillon is currently seeking out the perfect venue for her store. She has recently designed a line of denimwear for Lee Cooper and has previously been described as the "French Kate Moss."

We can't wait to find out more about her store, be sure that we'll update you as soon as we know more.

On Our Radar: Intermix Dresses Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa probably already has a wardrobe full of clothes to choose from for her show Live With Regis and Kelly. Well, she just got more access, thanks to Intermix. The Fab favorite retailer, which stocks pieces from coveted designers like Catherine Malandrino and Diane von Furstenberg, will soon outfit the stylish talk show host. Plus, the pieces chosen by Kelly and her stylist Faith Cromas will be featured on the show's daily blog, Fashion Finder. We have yet to see which items Kelly will wear — I've made a couple predictions below — but they will undoubtedly be fabulous.

On Our Radar: Barbara Hulanicki for Coccinelle

Barbara Hulanicki, the founder of the original Biba, is one of my favourite designers and is currently experiencing a bit of a revival. This holds no bearing on the Biba revival but rather through her own collaborations including one with Graham & Brown to design wallpaper and one with Italian accessory house Coccinelle.

The bags for Coccinelle feature the iconic art deco Biba design and are available from just £45. I am pleased that the designer is having a resurgence, I wonder if she'll soon create a capsule collection for a High Street store? I'd be first in line for that.
