We all love a Look for Less, but when the Oscar red carpet has finished, the knockoff manufacturers kick into high gear. Which celebrities' dresses made the cut? Cachet, a New York-based eveningwear company, plans on replicating Heidi Klum's John Galliano, Anne Hathaway's Marchesa, Katherine Heigl's Escada, and Jessica Alba's eggplant-colored Marchesa, to be in stores next September.

Meanwhile, Faviana New York has its eyes set on reproducing Katherine Heigl's Escada for $328 (above), Miley Cyrus' $10,550 Valentino for $248, Amy Adam's Proenza Schouler for $258, and Jessica Alba's $6,000+ Marchesa for $300, to be available in the next 4-5 weeks. Would you ever buy one of these Oscar-inspired dresses?

Just like with Ellen Pompeo and her SAG Awards gown, for Marion Cotillard and her Oscars gown, it was love at first sight. "I've worked with him several times," she said of Jean Paul Gaultier, who designed her fishtailed frock. "When I saw this dress from his last collection, I knew I wanted to wear it."

Her white and silver mermaid gown was based on a similar dress from Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring 2008 couture collection — except that one was black and gold. So I'm asking you to step back, and imagine: Do you like Marion's dress as she wore it, or do you wish she would have worn the black and gold runway version? I'm having trouble deciding which I would have preferred . . .

For a minute, I felt like I was having Oscars deja vu when Amy Adams appeared on the red carpet Sunday night. I experienced a flash back to Isla Fisher and the emerald satin Monique Lhuillier gown she wore to the Oscars last year. The deep green color, bustier bodice, and fit-and-flare shape are all very similar — especially noticeable since both red heads wore loose waves. Do you see the resemblance too, or am I just Oscar crazy?

Fab's Oscars Number One . . . and Two and Three!

I haven't really thought of anything or talked to anyone about anything but the Oscars in the past 24 hours. Some may think this is unhealthy, I think it's completely normal. You've seen the ladies and their gowns, you've voted on your faves, and Oscar Monday has come to a close. And so, I present to you my favorites from the star-studded red carpet. This time, there was no one stand-out dress. Three ladies were Fab top to bottom, beginning with your best-dressed Heidi Klum . . .

So she wasn't up for an award. Heidi wins your best-dressed vote and mine — so that should make Heidi even more happy. Heidi confessed she worked with John Galliano on the custom Dior — that is up for auction benefiting women's heart health. I wonder whose idea it was to go over-the-top regal red. No matter, it was a great collaboration. From the high collar to the grandiose train, this dramatic gown saved the runway from a boring demise.

Her pink diamond earrings, fuchsia clutch, and candy-colored jewels brought the look to a flirtatious place. Who said you can't mix pink and red? Not Heidi.

My discerning eye can't help but admire the fantastic bling the Oscars bring. Some earrings provided much shine to the stars who dared to go bold. Heidi Klum's glamorous red and pink earrings, which she designed for her own line, looked like candy. Mama-to-be Cate Blanchett's ethnic-inspired Lorraine Schwartz earrings framed her glowing face. Admittedly, I was not super impressed by this year's Oscars red carpet (tear). One of the more exciting trends was the crimson wave, but after three red dresses I started to tune out. Then, I began looking for nuances, i.e. jewelry and accessories. Did anyone else notice all the cool clutches that accompanied the dresses? In case you didn't, here's a peek at what our Fab Hollywood ladies carried their lipstick, blotters and Blackberries in. To the left is Katherine Heigl's gold architectural Jimmy Choo clutch and diamond accompaniments.

They left the subtle behind and stepped it up with grandiose gowns. And, when they strutted the red carpet, their trains followed. After all, they are born leaders, always attracting followers. Get a look at the ladies, like Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard (congrats!), who rode the glamorous choo choo train.

Wasn't I just praising jet hued gowns of Oscars past? Call it red carpet ESP, or a mere coincidence, but many ladies dared to go bold in noir colored gowns at this year's Oscars. Some of them I love — Penelope's feathery Chanel and Swank's embellished Versace — and some fell flat for me, mainly, Garner's ruffled Oscar de la Renta. Alas, these all have something in common: they're black, but far from boring.

The stars were thrilled to be back in the spotlight tonight at the Oscars. A handful were so fired up, in fact, that they gave the red carpet some fierce competition in red hot gowns. Anne Hathaway drenched herself in rosettes via Marchesa, Helen Mirren opted for a deeper red in a Georges Chakra custom-made gown, pop sensation Miley Cyrus oozed sophistication in Valentino, newlywed Katherine Heigl did Old-Hollywood glam in Escada, Julie Christie went short and ruched, and Heidi Klum went va-va-voom in a bright John Galliano (you can even win her dress). The silhouettes were vastly different, but one thing's for sure: these ladies gave Chris de Burgh's lady in red a run for her money.
