Whether it was custom Chanel couture for the red carpet or an elegant one-shouldered cocktail dress for the Miramax/Audi Academy Awards private after party, Penelope stuck with sophisticated black for her Oscars night garb. This one's a toughie: The feathered frock and classic sheath are both pretty Fab. Which one prevails?!

Earrings have their place, but it's exciting when an actress raises her arm and blinds you with a shimmery cuff or bracelet. Many people neglect their arms on the red carpet, but not Amy Ryan (left), Jessica Alba (center), and Jennifer Garner in Van Cleef & Arpels (right). They all put their best arm forward, but whose Oscars bracelet wowed you the most?

Anne Hathaway and Jessica Alba both rolled up to the Oscars red carpet last night in similar Marchesa gowns. Both dresses had embellished bodices, jewel-tone colors, flowing fabric, and long trains. So what wins outright — scarlet or aubergine, rosettes or feathers? You decide!

My discerning eye can't help but admire the fantastic bling the Oscars bring. Some earrings provided much shine to the stars who dared to go bold. Heidi Klum's glamorous red and pink earrings, which she designed for her own line, looked like candy. Mama-to-be Cate Blanchett's ethnic-inspired Lorraine Schwartz earrings framed her glowing face. Katherine Heigl's Ryan Ryan cylindrical diamond earrings complemented her Old-Hollywood vibe. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but which glittering Oscars earrings are most Fab?
Petra made an appearance last night in a custom-designed lemon yellow Roberto Cavalli gown, sweetheart neckline, sequin embellishments and red lips. Do you think she looks like a sweetheart?
