When it comes to shaving, the guys get all the good products. Lately, there's been a rash of high-end men's shaving creams flooding the market, from the likes of
Art of Shaving and
Anthony Logistics. But what about us girls.
Yesterday I did a round-up of
cute powder compacts that also function as fashion accessories. But I just found what may be the cutest one yet: the new Benefit Some Kind-A Gorgeous, which comes in a retro compact is designed to look like an old 45. The makeup does double-duty as a powder and a base, but it's also translucent, so it won't look cakey.

Purple is back with a vengeance. I love the way tanned skin and a lavender lip look together. It can be soft and sweet with a touch of pink on your cheeks and nothing on your eyes but mascara - or it can be sexy and seductive with contoured cheekbones and a dark cat eye lash line and falsies.

Despite my well publicized lip gloss fetish, I usually like to start off the work day with a berry-tinted matte look. Here's a peek into my morning lip routine:
First and foremost, I swear by Benefit's fabulous
Lip Plump product, available from Benefit for $20. A silky, creamy lip foundation, it does a wonderful job of smoothing out the surface of your lips and provides a great neutral base for whatever color you choose.
Next, I outline my lips with a MAC
Lip Pencil in either Burgandy (for red days), Beet (for plum days) or Chestnut (for brown days).
