I love it when mother and daughter look equally stunning. At Glamour's Annual Reel Moments event, Demi Moore and daughter Tallulah Belle Willis both lit up the red carpet. Demi did so in a black Catherine Malandrino dress, while Tallulah dazzled in a navy silk Opening Ceremony frock. Doesn't the black-and-blue combination work so well together? While mommy opted for Yves Saint Laurent's Tribute pumps, daughter went the Louboutin route. Both stylish in their own way.

New York Fashion Week marked the launch of Catherine Malandrino's first-ever jewelry collection. This is exciting news for the designer's followers because each piece was created to match her Fall '08 collection. Necklaces (as in left), rings, cuffs, and earrings in shades of green, cognac, charcoal, and black are composed of raw minerals and semiprecious stones like African jade, aventurine, tigereye, agate, and enamel. Sounds and looks exotic!

The collection will make its debut at the Malandrino boutique on Melrose Place in LA in the Fall.

Thick sweaters and textured skirt suits like this one dominated. I can do without the swim cap-like beanie, but I think I'd sport the blue suit, especially with the satin chartreuse blouse and green leather gloves. It's classic with a funky twist. New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Catherine Malandrino

Designer du jour, Catherine Malandrino, showed a bold Spring collection - sometimes, a little too bold. While her feminine and chic designs have recently been celeb favorites I'm not sure we'll be seeing some these newbies grace the red carpet. Malandrino attacked the art trend with fervor and sometimes it hit and sometimes it missed.

Aside from the venue, the Chelsea Art Museum, being over crowded, bold colors and prints dominated the runway. Catherine's strengths - ultra femme dresses, chic tailoring and elegant draping - persevered but her artsy prints and stiff cocktail dresses were questionable. In short, I had a love/hate experience at Malandrino. What do you think?!

Designer Catherine Malandrino is everywhere these days! Well, she's not around per se, but her ultra feminine and unique dresses sure are everywhere you look. Go to any Hollywood party and chances are you'll find at least one, if not two or three, actresses sporting a Catherine Malandrino frock. Among her celeb fans? Serena Williams, Lauren Conrad, Minnie Driver, Petra Nemcova, Maria Menounos, Brittany Snow, Nicole Richie, Beyonce, and the list goes on and on. I even have the same Malandrino cocktail dress as Lauren Conrad!

It's not hard to see why all the starlets are attracted to the designer's dresses. They are truly unique and seriously flattering. And best of all, they come in all sorts of colors, patterns and silhouettes, so no two Malandrino girls ever look alike. That is, unless they're wearing the exact same dress! Trend Alert: Handkerchief Lace

Lace during the Summer doesn't make much sense to me, when I want light and flowey fabrics. Unless, it's the vintagey, bohemian handkerchief lace I love so much. I managed to salvage a turquoise top from the 80s with handkerchief lace and silver slivers along the sleeves from my mom's closet and it's really fun - especially when I'm my most tan. While the selections come in mostly white or black, blues make the old-fashioned detail seem ready for a water taxi around the island for sure.

This fresh Catherine Malandrino Spring print was not only an obvious fave of the designer herself - she created both a dress and blouse from it - but is shaping up to be a celeb favorite as well. You all had mixed feelings when Serena wore it last week so I must ask if you think Jada wore it better with her white palazzo pants. I'm torn. I liked Serena's minimal look and flat sandals, but Jada looks fab too! Although, those pants are pretty bold and sort of swallowing petite Jada. Thoughts? Source

Serena Williams has proven to be one of the most fashionable jocks. Although she is super buff she doesn't shy away from frilly dresses and bold prints. You have to admire that about her; here's a gal with some (tennis) balls! She recently announced her renewed partnership with Vicks and the launch of a Vicks national sweepstakes at the "Top of the Rock" Rooftop Garden yesterday in New York City. The winner of the Vick's Sweepstakes wins an all expense paid trip to Wimbledon - fun! I love how her dress complements her environment as well as her toned shoulders. Also, I'm a fan of two-tone so I'm digging her metallic gold flat sandals and contrasting silver bangles. Well done tennis queen!
