This is why I adore Chloe Sevigny: While everyone else at the grand opening party of Fontainebleau in Miami Beach showed up in fancy frocks, Chloe played by her own rules. She downplayed her olive corset mini dress with a cool cropped denim jacket and set her feet apart with leopard ankle-strap sandals. Finishing touches are a lucite bangle and a Chanel bag. Oh, and I'm loving her burnt orange lips. Chloe's done it again: Easy, breezy, yet dazzling.

Just when I was fearing a safe season of LBDs, Chloe walked the printed carpet in head-to-toe mint green Balenciaga. Phew! She stood out at the 12th Annual ACE Awards: Accessories Council Honors Fashion Influencers in an easy silk T-shirt dress, a rhinestone choker, nude swirly sandals, and a saucy metallic clutch. I covet her undone hair and her comfy chic look. If I were wearing a complete Balenciaga outfit, I would be at ease, too.

My parents moved in college. Painfully, one Summer I had to go through all my adolescent memorabilia and clean house. I had years and years of fashion magazines and my mom was serious about downsizing seeing as how I didn't even have a bedroom to put my stuff in (boo).

My ADD went into full effect when I was cleaning out and I spent hours flipping through past issues of Vogue, W, Bazaar, The Face, ELLE and whatever else I consumed during my years of angst. Alas, fashion was/is my salvation so I could not part with these images. I decided to put my favorite ads and editorials in binders to preserve them.

Once in a while I flip through the binders to admire the pages of fashion circa 1990-2000. When supermodels reigned, Liz Tilberis was the Editor of Bazaar and grunge gave way to minimalism. Oh look, there's Diane Kruger modeling for Emanuel Ungaro before she was an actress, looking sultry as always. And Chloe Sevigny, right around her Kids debut, modeling for Miu Miu. The ever-evolving Drew also looking wonderfully alternative in a Miu Miu ad. Interesting how all three budding stars are Fab favorites.

Celebrity models are nothing new, but this is when it was.

Trend Alert: Do the Brooch

Preface: you don't need to have straight, blonde hair to do the brooch. That's merely a coincidence (and two Claudia Schiffers) you see. You do need to have an inclination to wearing a vintage style. As you can see from the blondes modeling these all very different brooches, though some of them are decidedly modern in design, they evoke the look of another time. A time when movies were black and white, men always wore hats and gas was insanely cheap. Were those the good old days? . . .

For their limited edition collection of tee shirts designed by artists and photographers like Keith Harring and Basquiat, Japanese chain Uniqlo recruited Chloe Sevigny and Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano to front the campaign. The UT Project is all "about self-expression," so the two actors were asked to bring the designs to life by portraying characters and emotions they found within the t-shirts. As I reported back in August, Imitation of Christ designer Tara Subkoff just debuted an exclusive line for Bebe, kicking off the company's initiative to collaborate with designers.

The capsule collection is in stores now, and for those of you looking to get romantic come Valentine's Day, it's perfect. The color palette is red, black, and white, with an accenting heart print and quilted heart bag. All you last minute Valentiners out there — you know who you are — get yourselves to a store or Bebe.com, where the line is retailing $59-$189.

Rumour has it black and white cookies are an East coast delicacy. But I swear my mum knows of a bakery in Berkeley, CA, that makes them. Bottom line: they're hard to find and celebs are dressing like them! A classic combo — the white shirt and black skirt — has a special way of reinventing itself. As exhibited by these lovely ladies, there are many routes one can take. Whether it's laid back luxe per Kate, artsy cool a la Chloe or sassy sophisticate like Kristen, this combo is limitless.

FIT's Annual Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion event brought out a gaggle of fashion savvy ladies. All were there to greet and congratulate Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz who received this year's award. One actress in particular stood out: surprise, surprise, it was Chloe Sevigny! This may be one of the wackiest outfits she's attempted but I have to give it to her for taking the risk. Her top looks awfully like Stella Vine's kooky creations, no? Actress Chloe Sevigny is trying her hand at designing but it's not surprising given her fashion-forward nature. The actress is currently helping Opening Ceremony store founder, Humberto Leon, come out with its first namesake collection. The debut is set to take place at New York Fashion Week on September 10.

Although there's no word on what the collection consists of, if Chloe has anything to do with it, it'll most likely be unique and quirky. Cross your fingers that I get to see the final result in the Big Apple!

Well color me pink! Starlets have been favoring visions in magenta (or magneta a friend of mine once called it), fuchsia and hot pink hues. Now I'm not much of a pink lady but these sure do look fun. Who knew pink was so versatile? Chloe's slouchy Luella frock is pure fun, Eva's flowy gown is totally glam and Christina's long dress is modern and fresh. Ok, my mind might be changing...is pink the new black?

I know that many of you think Chloe Sevigny's fashion sense is out there, but here, at the Big Love premiere in LA, she looks undeniably pretty and elegant. The bright orange Prada dress makes her stand out but in the most positive way possible. Only a risk-taker like Chloe is brave enough to try the unlikely combination of orange and salmon pink. And for once in a long time, Chloe actually got her hair done! It really takes the look a notch higher.

Chloe is well, just always in a league of her own. Even at fashion events, I can't look at her outfit the same way I would look at anyone else's. That said, this is not one of my favorite Chloe outfits. The lipstick is not the right color of red for her, the gold, teal, and pearl earrings are too much even with a black dress, and the dress doesn't fit her well. What do you all think?Source

Chloe usually has great fashion sense, so I don't understand why she slacked for this important event. I love the bold color choice, but the silhouette looks more like a cheap plastic table cloth than an expensive dress. And her hair looks like she didn't comb it. We all agreed that Chloe Sevigny looked stunning in her dusty pink strapless Prada dress at Prada America's Cup in Valencia, Spain. But most of us don't have designer friends to hand us red carpet gowns for zilch. A big thank you to WhiplashGirlchild, who created her own version of Chloe's modern pink look! Now we can all obtain Chloe's unique look for only $100. Although the fabric of the two dresses are different, the color and silhouette are right on. Especially similar is the way that the tube bodice of the dresses are rounded and the contrast of the tight upper part and the volume of the bottom half.

Valencia, Spain, was the place to be last night. It has just been reported that fashion house Prada hosted a spectacular and star-studded soiree to kick off the opening of the Louis Vuitton Cup. No, LV hasn't designed a cup that warrants a major celebration; the Louis Vuitton Cup is an annual boat race and this year eleven yachts are participating.

The ever-so-stylish Chloe Sevigny was there (where there is high fashion, there is Chloe), along with Demi Moore, her hubby Ashton Kutcher, Miuccia Prada and a slew of fashion lovers.
