Step it up, it's time to step into the wonderful world that is glam-o-rama. Plain old flip-flops won't do your sexy bikini justice so opt for some fantastically fetching sandals. Take a clue from Victoria Beckham (cute son optional), who proves every day can be a glamorous day.

I am always reading about the history of fashion to see where designers' inspirations come from and what experiences they went through in creating their artistic masterpieces. The Golden Age of Couture, Paris and London 1947-57 ($31), is highly recommended to any self-proclaimed couture addict. The book takes an in-depth look at Dior's authority on what was considered one of the most hailed fashion decades of all time.
