Mini wedges are another 70s era shoe throwback, along with wood-heeled wedges and cork heels. Look, I don't make the trends, I just report them! No wait, ok, sometimes I like to think I do make the trends. 
Here is the most ladylike option you will see during my Fab Spring Shoe Guide. Open-toed d'orsays are the best option for a cocktail party, wedding or when you just want to feel womanly. They are also sexy since they accentuate the ankle and the sleek sides of the foot. 
Continuing on with Fab's Spring Shoe Guide. If cork heels aren't your bag of chips try on some wood-heeled wedges for size. These have a similar retro look but are more comfy and youthful; it's still a good idea to do some heel stretches though.
