When we found out Claudia Schiffer was Stefano Pilati's Spring muse, we were pretty sure the outcome was going to be Fab. See for yourself. Shot in LA, right smack in front of the Hollywood sign "Y," it is stunning. Though you can barely recognize Claudia's face — it's more just a statuesque blonde in a long and lean navy ensemble — you can tell it's a pro in YSL garb. And notice how the silver grid shoes tie in with the black grid structure. Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, this image will also serve as the cover of YSL's next manifesto. French actress Marion Cotillard appears to be standing at the edge of the Eiffel Tower to fulfill her modeling duties as the face of Christian Dior's Lady Dior handbags. Of course, the always-handy Photoshop has made it possible for this shot to be fantastical. Miuccia went all-out glamorous in her '09 Resort campaign and I like it. The ad, shot by Steven Meisel, features dutch model Ymre Stiekema holding on to Prada's embellished bags. I like how her full frontal face shot demands attention. Ymre's black zip jacket makes for the perfect backdrop against the colorful satin bags and I fancy her green bedazzled nails. One would think that so much glitz would overpower a model, but not when it comes to Ymre. Her strong features go perfectly with Prada's dazzling designs. What do you think?Source

Designer Donna Karan has devised a genius money-saving marketing plan. Instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new ad campaign, she used runway photos from her Spring '09 collection. The beautiful result is below. Of course, the catwalk shots have been reinterpreted and given a new layout. “We wanted to get our message across in a creative way but with a consciousness,” Karan said. Makes complete sense. Amid a sea of dramatized ads, it's refreshing to see something authentic. The runway is where it all begins, so why not spotlight it further? What do you think? Source

This time around, sisters and models Frankie and Missy Rayder, (left), Mary-Louise Parker, Milla Jovovich, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Bateman, Rainn Wilson, and more are all part of the fun. Milla and Jason even brought their kids along for the ride. Aw! Argyle sweaters, cardigan dresses, stripe scarves, cozy hoodies — they all look so good wrapped around the stars, especially Twilight hottie Cam Gigandet. Do you dig the latest Gap ads?

Does looking at this picture make you swoon with envy? I don't blame you. Life couldn't be better for models Carmen Kass and Noah Mills as they pose for Michael Kor's '09 Cruise campaign. Photographed by Mario Testino, Carmen looks like a sun-kissed beach babe in Kor's colorful assortment of swimsuits, dresses, and tunics. I like how each outfit is styled to the nines with yummy accessories and handbags. Noah's (lack of) clothes is pretty fabulous, too. Hmmm . . . I wonder if I can squeeze in some time for a Winter vacay in the Tropics.

Bottega Veneta's first resort campaign left my eyes yearning for more. Sometimes a half face shot is all you need when you're as beautiful as Colette Pechekhonova. Shot by Vanity Fair's Todd Eberle, the ad evokes a clean, calm aesthetic with Colette posing in an ill Bottega Veneta blue leather trench coat. “Eberle explores the nuance and subtlety of architecture,” said Maier. “He brought a unique understanding of line and color to the images, balancing abstract ideas with the individuality of the woman.” I like how the blue leather contrasts the bright green crocodile clutch. Note how Colette's natural makeup allows for full attention on Bottega's luxurious goods. What do you think?Source

Bebe's Holiday campaign is every guy's fantasy — a hotter than hot girl posing against a rugged environment. And, even better, she's not afraid to get dirty! Bianca Balti sizzles in her jewel tone and metallic outfits as she poses in what looks like a junkyard. Oily tires, compressed car parts, rusty trash bins; nothing is off limits. The juxtaposition between the flirty frocks and the filth hits you like a ton of bricks. True, this contrast has occurred in ads before, but Bebe's is beyond bold. What do you think? Do these ads entice you?

After taking a five-year hiatus from advertising, Alexander McQueen relaunched his campaign efforts with his Fall '08 collection. I've always fancied mythical forest nymphs, so naturally, I was drawn to his whimsical theme. The design mastermind cast model Alice Gibb to play in his Gothic-inspired ad shot by Craig McDean. Gibb portrays a beautiful forest nymph in a huge bird's nest. Her silk and organza lace dress is beyond amazing and I love how her fiery red hair looks tangled in the nest. The contrast of her milky skin tone against the dark backdrop is perfection. What do you think?To see more dark and lovely looks, .

Fab Ad: Rock & Republic Fall '08

Rock & Republic stuck to what it knew best for its Fall Campaign — rock. That said Malgosia Bela and Vladimir Roitfeld look pretty bored for portraying rock stars. The photo shoot, shot by Mark Segal and directed by Julia Roitfeld, depicts the two in their R&R gear amongst a slew of amplifiers and wires. The set looks stark and overly clean; musicians don't live like that!Julia should of added a little dirt and grime to make the scene more realistic. On the plus side, the clothes are great and Malgosia looks rocker ready in her boots and fur. What do you think?

Who ever said models were dainty? Not me. They get to wear coveted clothes and attend fabulous parties, but what about posing mid-air on a ladder, or in this case, lugging around an ox in the frigid snowy mountains? Leave it to Hermes to create yet another masterpiece with its Fall ad campaign.The trooper is Mariacarla Boscono, whom you may recognize from Pucci's psychedelic Fall campaign. This time around, the beautiful donna is looking wintry lovely in Hermes's mosaic-print skirt, fur-lined coat, and sumptuous suede boots. The ox, of course, is adorned with Hermes elements as well. The snowy alps is a perfect backdrop to these colorful offerings. First came the elephants, now oxen, I can't wait to see what's next!

This is the designer's first-ever resort ad campaign, and she's done a fine job. Starting from the soothing color palette to the delicate fabrics and Karen's nonchalant posing, it's quite memorable. We showed you the Fall ad campaign for Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear with Eva Mendes, and now it's time to examine the latest ads for the Calvin Klein collection. This one stars Victoria's Secret model Doutzen Kroes and Halle Berry's boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. I'm all for mysterious rendezvous in the night but is it me or do these ads seem highly dramatized? You know, Doutzen waiting for her man in front of a new BMW; Gabriel seducing Doutzen on a pool chair; the duo having blank looks in their eyes. At this point, I'm more concerned about what's bugging them than looking at the clothes. What's your take?

Tiffany & Co. is trying out a new look this season with a sweet new campaign. The ads, shot by Michael Thompson, feature models Liya Kebede, Shalom Harlow, Lily Cole, and Sasha Pivovarova. All different, all beautiful. I like how Liya emits a commanding, graceful presence in her fancy tulle dress and dazzling diamonds.While Shalom rocks it '50s-style in a black fedora and mixed metals, Lily looks young and bohemian in a modern selection of beads and baubles. Check out that big wavy hair! And we can't forget sweet Sasha. Though her diamond-studded bangles take precedent, I can't help but be drawn into her captivating eyes. Are you digging this new look?

A model eating in an ad? Groundbreaking indeed. Also, does anyone else see a nod to Amy Winehouse? I'm sure photog Solve Sundsbo and Ford intended that. It's a bit hard to focus on the specs at hand, but it is a finger lickin' good ad, no?Source

This is one side of Claire Danes I'd like to see more of. At first glance I hardly recognized her! The actress looks sun kissed to perfection wearing nothing but gem encrusted bracelets, rings, and necklaces from the Gucci Fine Jewelry Chiodo Collection. I'm loving her strawberry red hair and neutral makeup palette.I like how this ad shows off a rare, playful, and sexy Danes. I thought it couldn't get any hotter with Mischa's Summer '08 ad, but I was wrong. Striking a svelte pose is Iceberg's newest queen: Amber Valletta. In the Fall '08 campaign, Valletta takes on a slick attitude to go with Iceberg's angular and voluminous cut designs. I like how her pale face and blond hair contrast against her dark and stormy eyes. She looks possessed. Possessed by high fashion.

I've always thought of actress and daughter of Jane Birkin Charlotte Gainsbourg as a cool girl, but not as a model. Still, the best friend of Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere has been chosen as the newest face of the house's Fall '08 advertisements. This is not the first time Charlotte has taken a stab at modeling, though; she was once the face of French handbag line Gerard Darel. She may not look like most models out there, but her svelte body is perfect for Balenciaga's latest crop of dresses and slick suits. And her robotic posing goes hand-in-hand with the paired-down but bold collection. What is your take on Balenciaga's Fall '08 ads?

Please hold while I quickly shed a tear for Naomi Campbell replacing Kate Moss in Yves Saint Lauren's latest ads. Don't get me wrong, Naomi is fabulous in her own right, but the magic that was there with Kate anxiously waiting behind the store window has disappeared. This time around, Naomi is seen posing by herself in an empty room. Of course, this does present a better opportunity to focus on the amazingly powerful clothes. Perhaps it's not Naomi, but rather the barren set, that is making me yearn for the Spring ads. What do you think about Yves Saint Laurent's Fall ads?

It's not often a television ad grabs me. Honestly, I fast forward through all ads these days — thanks, TiVo! But Levi's, the original denim brand, is always worth stopping for. They have fantastic ads. This one is a special pre-Fashion Week treat. The black and white combined with the music as narrator really draws you in to focus on the story. And the story goes, let's peel back the layers of fashion and frills to life's basics: Levi's and love. The backwards effect is a bit Memento-ish, but I feel it. Do you?
