Lancome Partners With Dallas Fashionistas For the second year in a row, Lancome has agreed to be the official makeup sponsor for all 19 shows during Dallas Fashion Week. And since poor Gucci Westman must be dog tired from traveling the globe for all of the various fashion weeks, Lancome’s National Artistic Director Ross Burton, pictured, will be there to create all of the looks.

New from Lancome is their ultra cool Destiny Cube, ($50). This little aubergine compact consists of a highlighter for your cheeks or eyes and a deep grayish shadow.

Unfortunately it's not going to give you any clues into your destiny, however, it will ensure that you look great in the future!

The packaging design is really unique too. It's an edgy, octagon shaped case with a round mirror inside. It is decorated with fun, mysterious words and symbols such as a question mark, a moon and a star. It actually reminds me of funky looking dice from old school board games.

Since Fashionista caught a glimpse of it at Fashion Week, I'd thought I'd give you a sneak peek too. But we are actually going to have to wait until August to purchase it online. Something to look forward to indeed!

Reese's Lipstick In Walk The Line

By now I am sure you've all seen this musical hit from last year. In this film, our American Beauty traded in her famous golden tresses for rich dark locks and transformed herself to resemble the American singer June Carter Cash.

Her hair and makeup were gorgeous and when the movie was released I got many requests to help y'all find the perfect pink lipstick shades she wore in the movie. Below are two different powerful pink lip looks from the movie; one evening and one day. Enjoy!

In this scene, Reese is wearing a combo of Paul and Joe Lipstick in Camelia Fou, (a more hot pink color than the coral shade example that is shown), $18 and La Femme Lipstick in Coral Glow, $5.

Warm Blushes To Fight Off Winter Wash-Out

You've seen the post on the fabulous selection of creamy chic cheek sweeps, but these highly pigmented warm winter blushes are powder-based and bright enough to wipe out winter wash-out. Using the same colored blush from summer can look too strong against paler skin. Opt for more of a brownish, brick color that will add depth and a sensual flushed look.

Application: start by applying powder blush to the apples of your cheeks and blending downward. For more color, lightly and carefully dab a brighter blush on just the apples of your cheeks and add a highlighter on your upper cheekbones for a little shimmer.

One of my all time favorite winter powder blush colors is Laura Mercier Cheek Colour in Blushing Apple. This is a natural color with a soft finish and will stay on all day. It blends easily and has a very soft shimmer to it . Buy it here for $22.

There are so many mascaras out there, I feel like I could try a new one every day. I guess I'm not the only one, because according to the NPD Group, Americans spent $245 million on mascaras at department stores in 2005. That's a lot of loot for lush lashes. To help you choose, here's a look at some of the new lengthening mascaras on the market. (Tune in tomorrow for New Mascara Mania, Part II.) Here are some of my favorites.

Global Goddess Exotic Eyes Lash Building Mascara is by a smaller brand that's making its way into the mainstream. This water-resistant formula is meant to volumize and darken for serious pigmentation, and it contains Japanese camellia oil, African beeswax, and Indian mowrah butter to help soften and add shine. Lancome Défincils High Definition Mascara is out of this world. This has always been one of my top picks, probably because my gorgeous-lashed Mom wears it, and now there's a new formula meant to create even more length and definition. The Quest for the Perfect Facial Cleanser

Another day, another endless quest. I have forever been in search of the perfect oil-free face wash. I have tried everything from simple Dove Soap to specially formulated cleanser from my dermatologist. I have a theory that face wash is kind of like deodorant in that your skin builds up immunity to one if you use it for long enough. This may or may not be true, but that's what I believe.

The Drugstore Staple - Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin

This gentle cleanser won't clog your pores and it's only $6.99! You can buy it online here

The Department Store Winner - Lancome Ablutia Fraicheur

I like this one because it makes a nice foaming lather and it's oil-free, but specially formulated not to remove essential oils. It's kind of pricey, $27.00, but lasts a good six months. You can buy it online here

The Quest for the Perfect Mascara

For my entire makeup-wearing life, I have been searching for the perfect mascara. I don't think my requirements are any different than anyone else's. I want something that is easy to apply, provides some lengthening and most importantly, won't bleed down underneath my eyes and leave dark circles.

I started out as many teenage girls do, with Clinique's Naturally Glossy, then moved to Lancome's Defincils, then to Bobbi Brown's Everything Mascara and then even to Maybelline's Great Lash. These were all fine and most people rave about them, but I was never 100% satisfied.

Currently I am using Benefit's BADgal Lash and I must say that it might just be my favorite so far. I will keep you posted.
