This one will be dearly missed.

Last night while the ladies were battling it out in Chanel at the opening of Chanel's mobile art pavilion in New York's Central Park, it was all about Karl Lagerfeld, Sarah Jessica Parker, and art! Quite the dynamic trio. While Sarah confessed to loving Chanel bags, Karl delivered some fun nuggets. Amidst falling branches, wind blasts, and frozen toes, here's what Karl had to say . . .

What do you think is a great piece for women to embrace in their wardrobes for the Winter?

"This is a piece of beautiful architecture — for clothes — I don't know how the Winter will be and how the economy will be and what they can afford, you know?"

Fret not Steve & Barry's shoppers, the store will live on. The company, who recently filed for bankruptcy, has been purchased by investment firm Bay Harbour Management for $168 million. We're not the only ones excited about the news. "I'm very pleased that Steve & Barry's will be able to continue to deliver on their mission and look forward to continuing our strong partnership," said Sarah Jessica Parker.

The majority of the 276 Steve & Barry's stores, which houses celebrity collections from the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Venus Williams, and Amanda Bynes, will remain open. Whew, that was a close one!

The latest trends in denim have been very interesting. You have the young'uns doing the gladiator tuck, gorgeous women wearing their man's baggy jeans, and a variety of denim nip/tuck. This just proves how creative the all-American fabric can be. Whether it's old-fashioned pegging or preppy cuffing, or a mix of both, this trend has me nonplussed. I don't like the look on a baggier jean — see Katie Holmes — but I do like a more laid-back subtle cuff, a la Rachel Bilson. SJP was playing with her jean hemlines months ago, going bike messenger style with the one cuff on one leg. Here's some guidelines, but my advice is: Show off stunning shoes, keep proportions in control, and do not leave the house if you aren't comfortable with your newfound nip/tuck.

Cosabella is back with a Fall Sex and the City lingerie collection. They seem to have Carrie's and Samantha's personas down — pink lace for Carrie and steamy animal prints for Samantha — but something went haywire in the design department when designing for the other ladies of Sex and the City.

Charlotte's pea green sleepwear is dull and drab in comparison to her bubbly personality, while Miranda's line looks too cute and girlie with offerings of brown and pink lace undies. Kind of disappointing since the Spring collection was spot on. What do you think?

Fab Flash: Bravo Replaces Project Runway With New Shows

Running on its last season with Project Runway, Bravo has made plans to fill in their huge prime-time slot.

The network is currently working on a new fashion series dubbed Fashion House. The show will feature designers living and working together as they strive to create and sell their collections to commercial buyers. The winning team will have the opportunity to have its line produced for mass-market sale. Unlike Project Runway, where outside-the-box designs were one of the most important factors in winning, Fashion House focuses more on the business aspect in fashion and mass-market appeal.

The network is also working with Sarah Jessica Parker as the executive producer on a new show named American Artist. The competition will bring together contemporary artists from all mediums, including sculpture, painting, photography, and industrial design, to compete for a gallery show, cash prize, and sponsored national tour. Premiere dates have not been announced for either show, but we'll keep you posted.

The 28-year-old clothing chain who recently gained popularity for carrying celebrity sportswear lines — most notably, Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker — at rock-bottom prices has filed for bankruptcy protection.Steve and Barry's is set to shut down a large number of its 270 stores and will most likely be forced to liquidate all assets. So how does SJP feel about this failed venture? “We are surprised and disappointed that this situation has developed. We are surprised because our understanding, based on the accounting statements we see, was that sales have been very, very strong” said Sarah Jessica Parker's lawyer, Ira Schreck.Let's not lose hope too soon. In case you've been MIA, the whole Sugar gang finally saw the Sex and the City movie. But don't worry, I'm not going to utter a word about the story line. What I am going to open my trap about are the wardrobes of the fabulous foursome, courtesy of Patricia Field. Almost all of Carrie's outfits were dead on and gush worthy, but it was a little strange to see Miranda always dressed up and accessorized. I guess she's grown up and now appreciates fashion! Sex and the City came to a close after six unforgettable seasons. We were taken on quite an emotional roller coaster in this final season. For Carrie, Berger was out, Big was calling again, and her new Lovah, Aleksandr Petrovsky was showering her with mature affection. Charlotte was living happily ever after with Harry, Miranda tied the knot, and how can we forget that Samantha was diagnosed with cancer and Smith was steadfastly by her side. Carrie's spontaneous move to Paris with Aleksandr was most shocking to me. Of course, picturesque Paris is every girl's dream, but Carrie was such a deep-rooted New Yorker. But in the end, Mr. Big, and NYC, called Carrie back home. Home sweet home, indeed! Check out my other Sex and the City style slideshows!

They say, save the best for last. Sorry to keep you waiting, but it will all be worth it once you hear what SJP had to say about the Sex and the City movie wardrobe. From the very beginning, Carrie was the fashion maverick, the one who dared to wear anything and everything. Her style rebellion paid off in the end because the name Carrie Bradshaw will forever be uttered by the mouths of millions. Oh, how I will miss seeing her innovative outfits. Sniff.

Did you get to keep everything from the movie?

Everything that wasn’t borrowed. It's archived, and I had done that over the course of the series, which had really been beneficial actually, because when we had to go back in and shoot, and shoot that montage of all that stuff it was really great to have Carrie's closet available for that moving out stuff. There was a time that the montage included all of the women in my clothes dancing around and they really did put on my character’s outfits from those times. And I had actually archived a lot of the furniture, so it was kind of nice to have, as ludicrous as it may sound.

Hair is my own; dress is Lanvin; belt is my own, old Yves Saint Laurent; necklace, earrings Fred Leighton; shoes are Proenza Schouler; and some vintage bracelets from the thrift store.

Sex and the City Style, Season 6

The final season of Sex and the City had many ups and downs, as to be expected. While I never wanted the show to end, I thought it was a fine finale. But we're not there yet. The first half of the season was classic: Carrie's career was on the up and up with her book success and her love life was in the pooper thanks to Berger — a major disappointment. But she picked herself right back up. The other gals also found love and even more fabulous wardrobes. But seriously, this is the season when someone caught on that we, the viewers, loved seeing the woman in amazing clothes. And so, they delivered a feast for our eyes. I have to admit season five is probably my least favorite of Sex and the City. I don't know if it's because it seemed rushed — it was the season filmed during SJP's pregnancy — or because Carrie was so bitter this time around. I love the gal, but I hate it when she whines. However, her clothes were dramatically more sophisticated and fabulous. Miranda had her own wardrobe woes as "Miranda Baby Weight," Samantha was her same glamour puss self (sans cantaloupes), and Charlotte became Jewish! You all loved SJP in this fabulous Nina Ricci creation at the movie premiere last night, but what are your thoughts on Lindsay Lohan wearing the same gown in a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar? SJP kept her look glam accessorizing with a matching cuff and layered chains while Lindsay opted to pair the frock with a casual, fitted leather jacket. Season four ended in the air — with Carrie being more single than ever after another failed run with Aidan and Big moving to Napa. We saw some of the looks from season four, and there's more where that came from! One of my most favorite looks all-time is here in the finale, when Carrie was trying to have a final night in NYC with Big only to end up in the hospital with Miranda, who gave birth to her little Brady. Speaking of shaking your groove thang, Sarah Jessica Parker showed up to the Late Show With David Letterman wearing a sophisticated black strapless jumpsuit. She kept her accessories simple in order to draw more attention to the great jumpsuit. Smart! Prior to her wardrobe change, she arrived in casual jeans and sexy-as-hell Pedro Garcia suede slingbacks that I've been eyeing for a while. And it wouldn't be SJP unless she did something a little off kilter, like folding only one of her jean legs!

Season four of Sex and the City started to get serious. Seriously fabulous! But really, the women starting to evolve and develop senses of self, and style. From the beginning of the season with such amusing episodes like "The Real Me" where Carrie is "fashion road kill" to the end with such a serious episode as "I Heart NY" where one of their own, Miranda, has a baby, we learned that SATC was growing up. You didn't think that was all the Sex and the City style from season three did you? Pshht. Season three was not only one of the most turbulent of seasons, it was also one of the most fashionable. Did anyone else notice Carrie always dressed a bit more sophisticated for Big than Aidan? She was more casual and funky for Aidan. I like both styles for both men. One thing I really want to find before I die: Carrie's purple sequin Fendi baguette. Yes, the one that was stolen. Are you out there my pretty?

Many fashion followers are inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker, but Gossip Girl Blake Lively took her adoration to a more proactive level. At a recent event, she showed up wearing an outfit almost identical to an Yves Saint Laurent one that SJP wore not too long ago. Call it copying, call it inspiration, tomato, tomato, but the similarities are uncanny — the overly layered Margo Morrison New York necklaces, the champagne colored Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress, the blond pulled back hair. As long as SJP doesn't get perturbed, I don't have a problem with it. Do you?

Sure, when in episode 47 of season three of Sex and the City, when Carrie Bradshaw pleaded with a thief — "They're my favorite pair. I got them half price at a sample sale" — it sounded like she cared more about her Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals than her purple sequined Fendi Baguette. But when that robber ran away with her fabulous purse, we could feel her sadness through the tube. As a tribute to one of Carrie's favorite bags, I tracked down all Fendi Baguettes out there, old and new. Perhaps it will inspire you to get in on the revived trend. I did recently with a black pony-hair Baguette!
