Denim has seen many transformations this year; it's been fun following it. I guess the skinny jean backlash spun out of control.

First, we had baggy jeans, no thanks. Then the denim nip/tuck took over — I'm still into it. Most recently the more subtle slit jeans appeared. And now the '80s are totally back with holey jeans. Mena is strutting her stuff in this risqué jean. She vamps it up with black accessories — what do you think of her little feather hairpiece, btw? Call me crazy, but this is another denim trend I might take for a ride.

On Our Radar: Seven For All Mankind Shoes

Jeans and bags aren't enough for Seven For All Mankind. Now it's creating shoes. The LA-based company is showcasing its first footwear collection come Spring. At first, five women’s styles, ranging from $150 to $350, will be sold exclusively at the brand's worldwide retail locations.

Next Fall, you can look forward to a complete collection to be carried at specialty and luxury department stores. “Finding the right shoe for your jean, whether it’s a flip-flop jean or a trouser jean, is important to creating the perfect look,” said Leilani Augustine, vice president of marketing and licensing at Seven For All Mankind. Though I've always felt no one wears leather pants better than Slash from Guns n' Roses, these ladies are rockin' and rollin'. What to wear when you don't want to wear full-on long jeans but it's too chilly to wear a skirt? I am a longtime fan of cropped jeans, they are fabulous for several reasons:

They have a retro-flair
They show off your shoes!
They are casual chic and go with a plethora of tops
They are sassy!

If that's not enough reason for you to attempt to wear these functional cuties I give up! Oh, and for those who are going to claim they are too short to wear cropped jeans - use SJP as your guide and just throw on a hot pair of heels (Roger Vivier or not!).

Let's give it up to Zeldaf for being such an adorable and unfussy Lady in Red (Purse)! Even though Zeldaf expressed that she's iffy on the white color-blocking, I think it works quite well, especially since the eye catching Marc Jacobs handbag directs most of the attention away from the white and on to the red. I also adore the the ruffles and pintuck detail on the blouse; such a good mix of feminine and masculine!
