Ooh, it's the battle of the Sex and the City women. Actress Kristin Davis first wore this Michael Kors floral dress to Late Show With David Letterman back in May. It was a fine choice, considering the season and the popularity of floral frocks. She chose to cinch her waist with a purple belt and decorate her feet with black slingback sandals. Creator of SATC, Candace Bushnell, just wore the same dress to the show's DVD launch party. Her version doesn't consist of a belt; only a long necklace, a leopard clutch, and metallic peep-toe sandals. Which sexy woman gets your vote? Source

Cosabella is back with a Fall Sex and the City lingerie collection. They seem to have Carrie's and Samantha's personas down — pink lace for Carrie and steamy animal prints for Samantha — but something went haywire in the design department when designing for the other ladies of Sex and the City.

Charlotte's pea green sleepwear is dull and drab in comparison to her bubbly personality, while Miranda's line looks too cute and girlie with offerings of brown and pink lace undies. Kind of disappointing since the Spring collection was spot on. What do you think?

This (mainly) vintage Carrie ensemble was one of my favorites in the Sex and the City movie. It's also one of the hardest to copy. I did my best, but had to change the color story. Instead of mixing green florals, which costume designer Patricia Field did with the vintage dress and coat, I found some lovely yellow floral pieces. Still cute, yes? The famous Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower bag is already spawning copies and there are many other gold dangly gold bracelets out there that aren't Verdura (and are much cheaper!).

And it's fashion fodder for us. This is more of a Fall look that seriously complements Miranda auburn coloring but without the hefty Charlotte Ronson sweater jacket is Summer ready. In the movie her brown dress is Natalie Eshkenasy, her gold t-straps are Oscar de la Renta and her Faboo patchwork bag is Stuart Weitzman. Fab Flash: Sex and the City's Charlotte Makes Her Celebrity Designer Debut

Can you separate Kristin Davis from her lovable character on Sex and the City? It's certainly going to be hard when it comes to Charlotte York's pristine clothes.

Many of you have expressed how you relate to the classic style of Charlotte York, and now you'll have your chance to emulate it. A bit unexpectedly, Kristin is delving into the celebrity designer sphere by creating a better-priced line for Southern retailer Belk Inc., the Charlotte, NC-based retailer. Kristin, being from Columbia, SC, admits, "I grew up shopping at Belk. It was the nicest store we had, and I'd save my allowance to go to Belk."

The Kristin Davis brand is launching with sportswear, activewear, sleepwear, handbags, jewelry, belts and footwear, and beyond, retailing for $30 to $240. Her line will be featured in a shop-in-shop and will debut late August.

SATC co-star Sarah Jessica Parker's clothing line Bitten has been a success. Like SJP, Davis was actively involved in the development of her line. She continues, "It really started in my closet, which for me is more exciting than going shopping and just seeing what already is available. I have these classic pieces I've have for six, 10 years that I hold onto."

Behind the Seams: Macys' Faboo Sex and the City Shopping Party

When there's a SATC party, you know Fab will be there. We recently attended Macy's Sex and the City shopping party in honor of the upcoming release of the movie . We were right at home in the Impulse department and had a blast as we sipped, ate, and shopped to our heart's content.

The party was filled with bubbly, yummy SATC-inspired apps, and of course, clothes! Models were dressed to imitate Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda's style and each leading lady even had their own closet filled with clothing from the highly anticipated movie's featured designers. The next invite-only soirée will be in Costa Mesa next week on June 5 at the Macy's South Coast Plaza — fun, fun, fun!

In case you've been MIA, the whole Sugar gang finally saw the Sex and the City movie. But don't worry, I'm not going to utter a word about the story line. What I am going to open my trap about are the wardrobes of the fabulous foursome, courtesy of Patricia Field. Almost all of Carrie's outfits were dead on and gush worthy, but it was a little strange to see Miranda always dressed up and accessorized. I guess she's grown up and now appreciates fashion! Because I'm Fab, I was instantly able to identify what each character was wearing as soon as I saw it. Not! Sex and the City Style, Season 6

Sex and the City came to a close after six unforgettable seasons. We were taken on quite an emotional roller coaster in this final season. For Carrie, Berger was out, Big was calling again, and her new Lovah, Aleksandr Petrovsky was showering her with mature affection. Charlotte was living happily ever after with Harry, Miranda tied the knot, and how can we forget that Samantha was diagnosed with cancer and Smith was steadfastly by her side. Carrie's spontaneous move to Paris with Aleksandr was most shocking to me. Of course, picturesque Paris is every girl's dream, but Carrie was such a deep-rooted New Yorker. They say, save the best for last. Sorry to keep you waiting, but it will all be worth it once you hear what SJP had to say about the Sex and the City movie wardrobe. From the very beginning, Carrie was the fashion maverick, the one who dared to wear anything and everything. Her style rebellion paid off in the end because the name Carrie Bradshaw will forever be uttered by the mouths of millions. Oh, how I will miss seeing her innovative outfits. Sniff.

Did you get to keep everything from the movie?

Everything that wasn’t borrowed. It's archived, and I had done that over the course of the series, which had really been beneficial actually, because when we had to go back in and shoot, and shoot that montage of all that stuff it was really great to have Carrie's closet available for that moving out stuff. There was a time that the montage included all of the women in my clothes dancing around and they really did put on my character’s outfits from those times. And I had actually archived a lot of the furniture, so it was kind of nice to have, as ludicrous as it may sound.

Hair is my own; dress is Lanvin; belt is my own, old Yves Saint Laurent; necklace, earrings Fred Leighton; shoes are Proenza Schouler; and some vintage bracelets from the thrift store.

The final season of Sex and the City had many ups and downs, as to be expected. While I never wanted the show to end, I thought it was a fine finale. But we're not there yet. The first half of the season was classic: Carrie's career was on the up and up with her book success and her love life was in the pooper thanks to Berger — a major disappointment. But she picked herself right back up. The other gals also found love and even more fabulous wardrobes. But seriously, this is the season when someone caught on that we, the viewers, loved seeing the woman in amazing clothes. And so, they delivered a feast for our eyes. I have to admit season five is probably my least favorite of Sex and the City. I don't know if it's because it seemed rushed — it was the season filmed during SJP's pregnancy — or because Carrie was so bitter this time around. I love the gal, but I hate it when she whines. However, her clothes were dramatically more sophisticated and fabulous. Miranda had her own wardrobe woes as "Miranda Baby Weight," Samantha was her same glamour puss self (sans cantaloupes), and Charlotte became Jewish! We are getting closer and closer to the Sex and the City movie premiere (yay!), and we have yet to hear from the entire cast. Next up is Kristin Davis, aka Charlotte York. She was traditional, loved simplicity, and never wore anything too avant-garde. Still, her sweetness won us over, no matter our style preference. Here, Kristin dishes about her on-screen wardrobe, what she got to keep, and how her character's style has evolved.

Did Charlotte break out any new fashion?

She was never a rule breaker. She updated a little, but I wouldn’t call it a breaking of any rules. Pat is a very creative woman as we all know and really felt strongly that all of the girls would be updated in a way that would reflect where they were in life. So my silhouette is a bit more simple, a little less bows and flowers and things that she used to wear. And she wanted to try, and this is obviously in one’s fantasy life, a little bit of 1970s Jackie O – the sunglasses and on.

Were you excited about the outfits?

Yeah. It sounds so surface-y, but back in the real world we have been in for the last couple of years, you go to your fitting and you’re like, oh dear. Because we were just spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. Sarah had actually emailed me after hers [fitting] because she had actually had a little, ohhhhhhhh reaction, and she was like, wait until you get here. So I was kind of like, OK, I’m ready, and you walk in and there’s literally everything, tables of bags, tables of shoes, just a warehouse of literally every couture sample that is even remotely available. It really is quite something, and we could never do it without the support of the designers because even though we have a very lovely budget from New Line, it's just not possible.

Considering this is a Sex and the City movie premiere, I expect the foursome to dress a bit off kilter. Still, I'm on the fence about Kim Cattrall's metallic strapless Vivienne Westwood dress. I don't mind the color and ruched bodice, but the lace panels seem a bit out of place. And the shoes? Alright but not amazing. What do you think? Source

Yes! Not just somebody, but the one and only Sarah Jessica Parker wore the majestic metallic Nina Ricci gown I have been pining for since its runway debut. We are so thrilled to announce that Sugar user carriefrances will be joining us tomorrow night at the Sugar exclusive screening of Sex and the City! The longtime user is a HUGE SATC fan, and we could not be more excited to meet her and shower her with gifts and a fabulous party among friends.

Season four ended in the air — with Carrie being more single than ever after another failed run with Aidan and Big moving to Napa. We saw some of the looks from season four, and there's more where that came from! One of my most favorite looks all-time is here in the finale, when Carrie was trying to have a final night in NYC with Big only to end up in the hospital with Miranda, who gave birth to her little Brady. Season four of Sex and the City started to get serious. Seriously fabulous! But really, the women starting to evolve and develop senses of self, and style. From the beginning of the season with such amusing episodes like "The Real Me" where Carrie is "fashion road kill" to the end with such a serious episode as "I Heart NY" where one of their own, Miranda, has a baby, we learned that SATC was growing up. Will Carrie end up being the old woman who lived in her shoes? It's just a matter of time before the movie reveals the truth! Such was Carrie's fear at one point in the series, when she found herself down and out in NYC. She was getting evicted and upon seeking financial salvation she realized how much money she had actually spent on her Manolos over the years — lots.

That wasn't the only Manolo reference on the show. You may recall the other status accessory Carrie favored, the Fendi baguette, was stolen along with a pair of Manolos she had scored at a sample sale. As well, the plaid pair she bought to up her height to compete with her nemesis Natasha. Oh! And when she had to take her shoes off for her friend's party and they got stolen, so she "registered" at the Manolo store to get her pair back. Shall I go on? The giddy scene in the Vogue fashion closet when she raced for a pair of "Oh my god, Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes, an urban shoe myth." Who can resist the beautifully crafted, lightweight, slender shoe? Not Carrie.

A Few Fab Words With Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall

By now, we've heard from Sex and the City newcomer Jennifer Hudson and veteran Cynthia Nixon, and now it's time for the fabulously bold Kim Cattrall to speak up. As evidenced by the photo on the left, Samantha always took the time to match her shoes to her skirt suit to her purse, and though she never inspired me to do the same, her witty sex banter was integral to the show. Here, Kim shares her thoughts on her oversized hat, what she didn't get to keep, and where her character gets her confidence.

Did anything in your wardrobe stand out to you? That hat?

I loved them. Working with Pat Field is fantastic; she is so creative. Always with my stuff, because I have to do so much physical comedy, she would really listen to what I needed to make it work. That was really helpful. She would bring colors. I mean that beautiful hat in the guacamole scene.

Did you keep the hat?

No. You know they sent three huge boxes of things from SATC, and most of my stuff was not there. And the hat wasn’t there. And there were like three pairs of shoes. I went, what?! I said I wore those shoes, they can’t sell those, they can’t resell them. There’s a bulletin out for Samantha’s togs!

Fab Finding Follow Up: Sex and the City Soirée

We've been in a frenzied excitement over our exclusive Sex and the City screening. Last weekend, PartySugar and I hosted a fabulous and fun Sex and the City party and everyone was asked to dress like their favorite SATC character or outfit. I started you off with this Erickson Beamon Arcade Ring ($195) because it evokes Carrie's glamorous eccentricity. Let's see what you came up with!

Behind The Seams: Sex and the City NYC Bus Tour

When my friends visited me in NYC a few summers ago, when I still lived there, there was one thing they requested be on our itinerary: the Sex and the City bus tour. It's really the best way to experience the sights and stores that Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda did for ten years. A few things have been tweaked since my tour — like visiting Patricia Field's boutique on Bowery Street — but you still get cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery (delish!), sit on Carrie's stoop, and drink cosmos at a bar used on the show. There's much more than that so if you're ever in NYC for more than 4 hours, be sure to put this on your schedule.
