This Just In! Targets Taps Felix Rey And Trish Carroll For Exclusive Accessory Collaborations

Yesterday, we announced Target's Loomstate eco-chic collaboration but there's more where that came from. The retailer has just nabbed two new brands for its accessories collaborations. Felix Rey designers Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk are set to create an exclusive handbag collection launching March 29. Also, Trish Carroll will design a limited edition footwear collection called Miss Trish of Capri. Trish's offerings debut April 5. Target, the retailer that keeps on giving.

This Just In! Loomstate for Target

Funny, just yesterday, when I was preparing to speak on a panel about sustainable fashion, I was talking about how Target should do an eco line. The fashion gods were listening because I woke up to the news that designer Gregory Rogan is once again teaming up with Target and this time with his Loomstate line.

Launching just before Earth Day, April 19 to be exact, Loomstate for Target line will offer environmentally friendly goods for women and men. That means environmentally sensitive materials like 100 percent certified organic cotton and sustainable fibers like linen and silk. Said items will be priced between $15 and $45.

I snapped up a couple items from Rogan's GO International line for Target, which was also eco-friendly, so I'm expecting the same sensibility: nature-inspired tees, everyday hoodies and relaxed separates. Nice.

Hayden maintained its signature tough style, with detailing like grommets, chains, and brass hardware. Colors are everyday black and brown, with a festive print thrown in. This Just In! Alexander McQueen For Target

The rumors were true! Target has just announced Alexander McQueen as its first designer in a new fashion series dubbed Designer Collaborations. Not to be mistaken for the popular Target Go International collections, the new Designer Collaborations initiative focuses on bringing creations from established designers to the mass market at Target prices. Nice!

The Alexander McQueen for Target collection is said to resemble the aesthetic of his younger McQ line, seen left. Drawing inspiration from punk singer, Leila Moss, from The Duke Spirit, McQueen's collection will be adorned with edgy details such as studs and tattoo-print fabrics. Sweaters, skinny jeans, dresses, trench coats, swimwear, and blazers will be made in muted colors with bright accents. Squirming with excitement? The highly touted collection will debut in March. We can't wait!

The actress, who's been spotted in the front rows of Fashion Week, channeled a rocker chick in her black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and layered chain necklace. Her Brian Reyes belted linen top, funky tweed clutch, and metallic platform sandals inject some color to the mix.

You're probably wondering: Fab has been in New York for a week now, and has she done any shopping? Not really, but today was the day, because I dropped by one of the four limited-time-only Target Bullseye Bodegas in Manhattan. And you know I can't resist Target. For Fashion Weekers and Manhattan folk, these mini stores showcase all the newest designer collaborations and the most popular Target brands. So cool, right? But the most exciting was first dibs on the Sigerson Morrison for Target shoes, the Anya Hindmarch bags (not in stores and online until Oct. 12), and Jonathan Saunders's Go International collection (available Oct. 5). They also had Sonia Kashuk's latest and the best of their home lines. It was crazy, with loud music and bright red and yellow Target displays everywhere, but they did serve refreshing watermelon juice drinks.The goods: I bought a black and white polka dot mini skirt from Jonathan Saunders's collection, and these metallic blue studded Sigerson Morrison flats — $50 for both, not bad. I think I'll wear one of my new items to the shows tomorrow, hot off the racks.

Her collection for Target, ranging from $20 to $50, stays true to her signature style, and incorporates playful textures and colors such as patent finishes and rich colors. Target's Go International line is about to see its quirkiest, most avant-garde designs yet thanks to British designer Jonathan Saunders. The news of the collaboration came a few months back and I have no doubt that it excited the fashion-forward crowd. Starting Oct. 5, those who love a little funky in their closet will be able to score art-inspired pieces with splashes of color, modern silhouettes, and unique prints.
For his cheaper collection, ranging from $14.99 to $59.99, Saunders was highly influenced by artists like Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollock, and Rothko (like far left ombre dress, worn by model Hanne Gaby Odiele). If those names mean nothing to you, perhaps a Wikipedia session prior to purchasing would help.

I never considered wearing a beaded rope necklace until I came across one in the jewelry sale section at Macy's. I mean, for $6, I couldn't refuse. Although I bought it to use mainly as a bracelet, it evolved into a necklace at a recent event. Gossip Girl may be on Summer vacay, but that doesn't mean Serena van der Woodsen and Dan Humphrey can't still hang out. Blake Lively and her co-star and boy toy Penn Badgley spent a low-key day in NYC and they dressed the part. Blake wore a Rag & Bone peasant dress (on sale!), a white Valentino bag, and black ballet flats. She left the accessories at home for an easy, breezy look.

First, she was wearing crochet head-to-toe — an indication that Summer has arrived for the actress. Second, she was shopping at Target! We all love Target so I wonder what she bought. Cruising along in her Juicy Couture dress and Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals, the striped belt really helped break up the matchy crochet dress and bag. Well done, Eva.
