A few days before the November ETA, Nicole Richie's costume jewelry line has been released to Kitson LA. And the pieces are cool. With an Egyptian feel, gold, silver, and enamel bangles rule the offerings. The big black and gold ring Nicole has been modeling is there too, for a keen $38. Did I not mention the price is right? Most pieces are below $70, except for this large black and gold cuff, which is on pre-order for $125. A fine beginning to what I'm sure will be a sparkling endeavor.

Charlotte Ronson's deal with J.C. Penney is a win-win situation. Penney's gets a hip boost in their contemporary department while Ronson soaks in the mass market appeal. Most importantly, we get to purchase her trendy offerings at spot-on prices.

“I really don’t see this customer as a different girl than the one who already wears my line, but for me to be able to offer great quality clothes at these amazing prices — what could be better in a poor economy?” said Ronson.

The I Heart Ronson collection, set to debut in stores and online in February, offers up a variety of styles made in hues of gray, navy, olive green and pink. Looks include casual cotton tees, tanks, cardigans and jackets to feminine polyester and cotton voile dresses. The budget-friendly line ranges from $15 for a tee to $65 for jackets and dresses. Her swimsuit collaboration made a fashionable splash in our books but we're even more excited to see this.

The numbers don't lie. Lauren Conrad's namesake collection is flying off the racks before stores can replenish their stock. The starlet, who recently held a Fall presentation collection at Bloomingdale's in NYC to a slew of fans, was delighted among all of her admirers. "I love meeting the customers and seeing what they buy," said Conrad. "I've learned a lot from them." And to Bloomingdale's vice chairman Frank Doroff's surprise, the feeling is mutual. "We got it in and sold out immediately. We can't get the merchandise on the floor fast enough. It is, by far, the best-selling celebrity line we have. It's so much better than I thought it would be," said Doroff, who also mentioned that LC's leggings were the first to sell out. In the future, Conrad plans on adding handbags and accessories to her brand. But I want to know: Have you purchased anything from her collection?

One person who's banking on the hosiery business is Lindsay Lohan. The success of her leggings line has prompted the celebrity designer to take her business savvy one step further with her own brand development company, Stay Gold LLC. First on the entrepreneur's list? Expanding her 6126 leggings line.

Come Spring, Lohan will launch a lower-priced collection of leggings that will retail at $48 compared to her current line which retails between $44 for ankle gloves to $160 for leggings embellished with quilted leather patches. Next Fall, the powerhouse plans on adding accessories to her brand. Lindsay also mentioned developing a odorless, all natural, self-tanning lotion. I'll let you be the judge of that.

One dress we're eagerly anticipating this Sunday at the Primetime Emmy Awards won't be on the red carpet, but rather on stage. In case you didn't get the memo, Lauren Conrad's designing the dress for this year's trophy girls, and we've got more details.

In a recent ET online interview, The Hills star dishes on her creation. "I did green because green [is the] theme for the Emmys this year," said Conrad, who also mentions using a diamond brooch, signifying the Emmy's 60th anniversary, to accessorize the gown.

The new author will also wear her own design to the event. Her dress will be the same green fabric as the trophy girls', with diamond jewels kept to a minimum. Coincidence? I think not.

Lutz & Patmos have been crossing their fingers for this opportunity to arise and now it has; the brand has enlisted British actress and singer Jane Birkin as their latest guest designer.

“She has this really relaxed, nonchalant style without being overtly sexy, which is very sexy,” said Lutz who also mentioned that Birkin, mother to models Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, has played their unofficial muse for quite a while.

Look forward to seeing Birkin's alluring, low-key style translated into organic cashmere sweaters and slim-fitting tanks detailed with raw necklines and crochet. Prices are to be determined.

"Taylor has been with me for three years. Taylor, as she would say about herself, she’s not the easiest person all the time. I love her like family. She’s like one of my children. It’s not edited and is extremely real, and there is absolutely no acting in this show.

I feel that style is people’s way of expressing themselves and their mood. And I think if you notice it, Taylor is always in black and she’s very dark, and she’s very hard. Brad is always in very happy clothes all the time and he’s very dandy and very, you know — I think they’re equally as obsessed with fashion. I think that’s why anyone gets into this and I’m very lucky that they are. They both have such incredible style."

Fret not Steve & Barry's shoppers, the store will live on. The company, who recently filed for bankruptcy, has been purchased by investment firm Bay Harbour Management for $168 million. We're not the only ones excited about the news. "I'm very pleased that Steve & Barry's will be able to continue to deliver on their mission and look forward to continuing our strong partnership," said Sarah Jessica Parker.

The majority of the 276 Steve & Barry's stores, which houses celebrity collections from the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Venus Williams, and Amanda Bynes, will remain open. Whew, that was a close one!

Pleasure Principle, named after a hit single off the singer's 1986 Control album, is set to land in stores by the end of this year or early 2009. The collection is the brainchild of Jackson and the Australian lingerie designer behind Dr. Rey's Shapewear line, Bruno Schiavi (pictured).

The 18-piece bra and underwear collection mostly consists of lace and satins in sizes ranging from 32A to 44G. Prices are affordable at under $40 for each piece. So why lingerie? “It’s something for every woman, and I truly do mean that. It makes you feel sexy,” Jackson said. I couldn't agree more.

Fergie's bag collection with Kipling has been well underway. Now, the blossoming star and fashion designer is giving another favorite accessory a go. Yesterday — in a Dolce & Gabbana sheath — she unveiled a shoe collection with Brown Shoe in Las Vegas at the WSA Show.

From what I can see, styles range from sassy and colorful platforms, cool gladiators, exotic sandals, and sporty kicks. Looks like Fergie took a survey of her shoe collection and applied it here. Fergie sat front and center at the mini-runway show and everyone looked pleased — especially her.

As the style-setter put it, "I have always loved fashion because it's a great way to express your mood. And I'm definitely a shoe lover. The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit, and even change how a woman feels about herself. A woman can wear confidence on her feet with a high stiletto, or slip into weekend comfort with a soft ballet flat."

"I'm extremely excited to be expanding into the dress market. I plan on creating beautiful dresses in distinctive fabrics and silhouettes that are reflective of my personal style and offer something special to the marketplace," said Simpson.

Price points for the dresses are still to be determined but are expected to be in line with Simpson's current offerings of handbags, footwear, swimwear, outerwear, eyewear, and jewelry. The first selection of frocks are set for a soft launch in Spring 2009, with a more complete collection available in stores in Fall 2009.

"The Fabulosity girl is fun, fashionable and chic, but she doesn't want to spend her last penny on something to wear. This collection is fashionable, but also affordable. The days of spending tons on clothes are gone — I mean, I still do it, but young girls can't," said Simmons. Kimora also expressed interest in expanding Fabulosity into a full-lifestyle collection, comparable to Baby Phat's, adding shoes, accessories, handbags, and a home collection.

Offerings of skinny denim, blouses, knit tops, and dresses are currently available online and will be sold in stores this month.

Gucci and Rihanna love children. In collaboration with the United Nation's Children's Fund, UNICEF, Gucci has enlisted music sensation Rihanna to spearhead the label's first ad campaign with the nonprofit organization.

"I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign" said Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini.

Dubbed, "Tattoo Heart," the ads will feature Rihanna donning Gucci's special-edition products all incorporating a tattoo-style heart designed for UNICEF. "We've come a long way from Miss Bisou to Gucci," said the 20-year-old singer. "It's an honor to represent Gucci."

Keep your eyes peeled for the first round of ads set to debut in December magazines. Twenty-five percent of sales will be donated to the UNICEF organization.

Note: Rihanna also talked about adding clothing design to her repertoire stating,"I love fashion, so it's only natural for me to want to create my own line." We'll keep you posted on that one.

What I love about Penelope as a model is that she's raw, natural, and completely womanly. She's got hips that don't lie and she's not afraid to accentuate them with snug pants. Speaking of pants, there are quite a few in the Summer line: high-waisted jeans, nautical white trousers, denim shorts. There's also bright florals, crisp crochet, studs, and nautical stripes. The prices are also quite reasonable at $29-$129. Seeing how Penelope sizzles in these ads, I can only imagine how these clothes will make me feel once I actually slip them on!

As the Fall season rolls around, celebrity designers (coined by WWD as delebrities), will be judged. With stores constantly on the hunt for the hottest commodity, it comes as no surprise that Hollywood entertainers like LL Cool J, Avril Lavigne, and Rachel Bilson are eager to get a cut of the action. LL Cool J for Sears, Abbey Dawn for Kohl's by Avril Lavigne, and Rachel Bilson's Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans will soon hit stores. Like many celebrity designers, they have ventured into a risky retail game and only time will tell if they will fail or prevail.

So what do the experts predict? "With all the competition out there, I really can't see girls seeking out clothing from LL Cool J for themselves to wear. Rachel Bilson, on the other hand, is a modern classic. She has great style and girls will want to dress like her. I could see her line lasting a long time" said Lisa Chase of CelebrityEverything.com, a website for the celebrity-obsessed crowd. Chase also predicts a short run for Lavigne's line at Kohl's.

It looks like you all are over the whole celebrity designer trend but I guess we'll just have to ride it out!

A recent interview about her new perfume, sparked Victoria Beckham to reveal a juicy tidbit of information: The ex-Spice Girl plans on showing a new collection of dresses at New York Fashion Week in September.

According to a second source, Beckham says, "It will be something completely different from what I've ever done. I'm just putting it together at the moment, they will be very up scale dresses and likely to start at around $1,200 retail. I'm going to be using very expensive fabrics and finishes, lots of embroideries."

So far, her dVb line has not been added to the roster but fret not, we'll keep you posted once we hear more.
